My commute is surrounded with the cameras and as a result I am much more cognizant of how I drive. I no longer have the "I can make it" mentality when it comes to red lights and I am driving significantly slower, which in the end is what it is all about - affecting dangerous behavior. We have Rules of the Road to keep us all safer. In most places if you feel the ticket is in error there is recourse just as there is when a cop pulls you over. If you have a problem with the level of the fines, fight that with the elected officials, but don't throw away a tool that works.
