Do you want partial birth abortion legal so that the unreasonable minority of people who support it are protected? Where do you draw the line? When are the majority protected?

I disagree. I think it's the other way around. States rights is an argument when it favors the left. Roe v. Wade comes to mind. Healthcare comes to mind. Why is it that the left must use the courts instead of the electorate to further their cause?

You're missing the point - no one cares what a gay couple is doing - as long as you don't try to impose your values on the overwhelming majority that doesn't want any part of it. Marriage is a sacrament. If you want to live together, do it, but don't call it marriage. We value that tradition as a bond between a man and a woman.

English common law deems marriage between a man and a woman. For most reasonable folks, marriage between a man and a woman is a foregone conclusion. Man on man, woman on woman is anything but marriage.
