It all makes sense now. Thanks for enlightening us here. It's like a light bulb! Wow. That our husbands take our fear and in turn feel shame. What a powerful thought. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with so many of us.

Destiny in Bloom : The Domestic Diva’s Guide To ... Aw, Never Mind

Oh Nancy! I confess to being one of those "Martha Stewart Troops" but I on the other hand also work while 95% of my girlfriends stay home with their kiddos. So there is also that same sense of questioning my "differences" when I compare myself to OTHER moms. I work not because I have to necessarily but because I want to, actually I love what I do. So does that make me less of a mother, less of a PRV31 wife? "When we depend on others or the world as the source of our identity, we become like a chameleon – changeable and suggestible, depending on who or what we are looking to." Well I can say that is not me. I want to live my life REAL, the way God made me...not being who I think others think I should be. I love this article today. It just confirms for me that when we listen, even when it's thru DIB, God is reminding us He made us just the way we are...now hold please while I google a donut recipe, as I am very intriged by that!

Destiny in Bloom : The Seven Year Itch: The Recovery ... Praying it Out

Wow! If you were to write a part 4 I would call it Living it out! You two have done an amazing job here telling the story of hurt, trial and forgiveness! The blessing I see in your story is that you get to live your life together now! So many couples don't make it thru this and they miss out on the true meaning of love, forgiveness and life altogether. I pray your message here that after the fire comes such a sweet blessing is clear. You are doing a good thing! Total agreement with Rebecca in that I see the beginnings of a ministry. And in this past year of preparedness from us praying over you before that first article posted, God has been doing His work in you to take you and Rob to that next level! So much love and respect for you both! Hugs.

Destiny in Bloom : A Baby Changes Everything

WOW! Kelli you "kicked" the nail in the head here. Nice work. I love how in reality we hardly even remember our lives before our children graced us. And the same holds true with Christ. God does not dwell on who we were or what we did in the past but He sees us as He designed us to be. Love you and LOVE this my friend. Many prayers for you, Bill and the family today.

Destiny in Bloom : I Heart Model Homes

I am reading this while my boys have legos, cars, puzzles and dinosaurs spead all over the house. And boy oh boy does it hit home! Thanks for offering such a great perspective. I too want my kids to feel comfortable being themselves, playing and enjoying our "home" and I too have entertained the idea of picking up and moving in order to be more organized. Truth is we can make our home happy and ours no matter what the furnitrue is or the address on the street. I loved this post today. Keeping your eye on the right ball! Thanks, R

Destiny in Bloom : I Am NOT what I weigh!

Bravo Marissa! And kudos to Yuri for being your rock! I know personally how much having that one person that loves you no matter what makes a difference.. We all know in our heads God loves us no matter what but having that tangible, living, breathing human next to us in life saying I accept you, and love you regardless of a number, shows God's heart! I love that He uses our husbands' love to reveal His greatness and awesome acceptance of us regardless of weight, addiction, insecurities....well done sweet friend. I know you are touching lives here. Love you!

Destiny in Bloom : Cry Now, Laugh Later ...

Love it! A dear friend's father told Brandon and I at our wedding reception that the secret to a great marriage was to laugh together thru life. No matter what was going on we have to be able to laugh. That has carried us pretty far...Our life seems to be a comedy...of errors sometimes. But I would not change a thing. Great job here and OMG, "Are you even SAVED?" I think I woke my sleeping husband laughing at this one!

Destiny in Bloom : Monkey in the Middle

I have said many times in the past that I felt like I was at a weird place and did not feel the connection I wanted with my friends. I think this is the link I was missing. I have and have always had amazing friends. But this mentor role, that I have had at various points in my life, is the key to what I was missing. Thank you for explaining this so clearly. You are such a blessing to many of us in how you lead your life. Lots of love to you Ms Pam!!

Destiny in Bloom : Learning To Breathe Again

Jen, You are right. I have no understanding of the mind or heart of an addict. According to Hope Networks statistics over 11 million children in America have parents suffering from substance abuse addictions. It is an ugly disease who's ripple effect goes far beyond what our eye can see in the physical world. My perspective in this piece is from my "child-eye" and how the tumultuous plight of my father altered my view of life for a long time. I am gratefully the recipient of much Grace in my life and pray that continues. I also have an extremely deep soft spot in my heart for the mentally ill and those suffering from substance abuse addictions. What I can say is that my heart is no longer angry over the loss of a true father-daughter relationship yet it holds brokenness for that loss. Also there is still brokenness for what my father walked thru daily. More importantly there is forgiveness in my heart. Thank you for your thoughts on this sensitive subject that for so many of us is real life. -Rena
