totalBarca : Guardiola: "If Madrid win or draw, the league is theirs"

Very true, indeed. Pep is an enormous factor in the recent run of success through the years. Both as a player and a head coach. We'll win it tonight, I'm positive. People seem to underestimate the Barcelona of 2011/2012 due to our results away from home, forgetting that we have crushed every single team at home except for Sevilla and Madrid in the CdR. Camp Nou is, as it has always been, our fort of victory and I believe the team will come through. Again. Visca!

totalBarca : The Result: AC Milan 0-0 FC Barcelona

True. The fact is, Barca had the upper-hand offensively due to an overwhelming ball possession; As stated a lot of times, Pep got the tactics slightly wrong. The defensive part was above average and other than the first 10 nervous minutes, the defense showed great strength. The balance was off, though. Sergio - Xavi - Iniesta is the way to go when in possession, since the width would have proven deadly in midfield, also the lack of deep runs behind Milan's defense (other than Alexis in first half) were obvious. A player like Pedro would have been great, the guy is in poor scoring form, but he adds width and tireless running throughout 90 minutes, especially with Thiago Silva out (and the slower Nesta in), he could have tired down Milan's defense and assisted in past-pressure when losing the ball - basically pushing the game higher up on their pitch.

We shouldn't underestimate the power of Camp Nou. Every team fears our ground and they have good reason to do so. One can argue the fact that Milan have scored 4 times over 2 matches in the Group Stages, but this is Barcelona and a CL knock-out match is an entirely different scenario. We were behind 1-2 when we met Arsenal last year with profiles as Cesc, V. Persie and Nasri in their squad, and we could've won the game 6-1. AC Milan is not Inter. And this is not a 2010 do-over. Barca will go through, no doubt.

I aggree, we probably won't win the league, but anything can happen in the world of football. Just a depiction of our last games: R. Madrid have these upcoming games - Betis (away) - Malaga (home) - Villareal (away) - R. Sociedad (home) - Osasuna (away) - Valencia (home) - Atl. Madrid (away) - Sporting (home) - Barca (away) If they are to lose only one and draw two of those games, and Barca win every game including the Clasicó, then we will be league leaders come April 21th. Especially the games against Valencia, Villarreal and Atl. Madrid, should be difficult for them with the Betis away game as an interesting match-up (Betis play great ball) since they suffer from injuries throughout their team (Benzema, Di Maria, Coentrao and Higuain just returning). Our games throughout the same period are: Racing (away) - Sevilla (away) - Granada (home) - Mallorca (away) - Atl. Bilbao (home) - Zaragoza (away) - Getafe (home) - Levante (away) - R. Madrid (home) Until the Clasicó clash we only have Sevilla away as an on paper difficult match, and even though Bilbao are a good side, we should be able to win it at the Camp Nou.

We only payed 34 million euro for Cesc. And even though he isn't as sympathetic as Xavi, Iniesta or Leo, he has proven to be an important factor for us. With Pedro underperforming this season and Villa off, his 15 goals so far have been critical for our continued struggle to win the last three titles of the year. The biggest issue this year has been complacency and unstable performances in our defense. We should have killed off more away matches, but 1-0 and 2-0 leads have, unfortunately, been dangerous leads that we've managed to throw away far too many times (usually in the second half). If we win every single Primera game we have left, we will win the trophy. But if we are to drop a single point, its over.

totalBarca : Stat of the Day: Special Early CWC Edition

'I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death' ... 4-1 Barca. Messi with a hattrick. Off-topic: Madrid 6-2 against Sevilla last night, what a disgrace of a football team Sevilla was. Poorest defensive attitude I've ever seen with multiple 100 % goal chances missed. Easiest effing win for Madrid, as usual, when facing on-paper big teams. Rubbish game and an absolutely poor performance by Sevilla, who should be ashamed as a city.

totalBarca : How Puyol & Pique's Twitter shenanigans delayed Cesc's homecoming

I can actually understand the reactions from the Arsenal fans, seeing as their two creative midfielders probably are gone by the end of the weekend. If the situation had been the same for a player of equal importance from Barca (say Iniesta) we would be equally unsatisfied. Arsene Wenger on the other hand is a whole different story, since he deliberately tried to blow every statement out of proportion and dishonour the name of our club, that sore loser. OT: Rosell and his staff has shown masterclass transfer negotiation skills. Fabregas for 34 + 6 mil. in variables is an insane price, Fabregas is a class player, team captain and had a contract with Arsenal for 4 more years. Sanchez for 28 + 11 is also a bargain, voted best Serie A player last year with 3 years left on his contract and a young crack proving himself both on club level as well as internationally. If you weigh in last years signings (Adriano, Mascherano) and the sales of Bojan, Romeu and Jeffren, you can't help to feel impressed. They pulled it off brilliantly.

Even though both Pinto and Gaby Milito have their flaws you cant deny their spirit off the pitch. when Affellay and other new players joined the team, they both helped them get into the team with a quick transition. And when Pinto slapped Albiol at the Bernabeu, he moved up on the rank from great to f-ing awesome. They truly love Barca.

Off-topic: News-media Agencia News apparently reports Cesc taking an emotional farewell with the Arsenal teammates in the dressing room right after their latest friendly in New York.
I don't know why you've been thumbed down, but I agree.
