HEy Will thanks alot for the feedback!! I was reading somewhere that statistaclly taking more than one manticore doesnt offer much benefit, any thoughts?? If so then I could drop one and make another chimmera/vet squad/ maybe even give them demo's and use them as suicude, or possibly a decent stormtrooper squad as well?

Also what are your thoughts on using Marbo??

I use a airbrush that has teflon orings and washers, it could be possible that non-teflon surfaces may corrode from the windex, but I too have never heard of this either. I think you shold be fine.

would love to see some pics!! sounds interesting. A few years ago I painted a model of a harley for a a guy, I sprayed the bike silver, then used Tamyia clear red to top coat that, it looked like a "candy" color, translucent red with a metallic under coat, very cool effect.

Thanks Kirb. Yes the windex works very well with acrylic paint in general, and it is not the windex really, it is te amonia that does the trick, so if you are not in the US, just find a window cleaner with amonia in it. What it really does is it breaks the surface tension of the fluid in the paint, meaning that your paint lays flatter, sprays better, and mixes more thouroughly. Windex is also a great cleaner as well for airbrushes.

I would rather drop the foot priest, and keep two scout squads, with some goodies.

Nice recap Kirb....how about this for the remaining points;

2 Sang Guard w/ Pf's
2 Preists w/ jp's
2 scout squads w/ ML's

I dont have my C:BA on me atm but I think that comes to 730. This provides you two more ML shots, two more scoring units, 2 more FNP bubbles, and possibilities to bubble wrap the devs and provide cover to them. I would probably arm the scouts w/ bolters, and depending on the situation go HB instead of ML.

Thoughts?

I am not sure how I feel abot this list, the SG feel out of place to me, I would think that you would be deep striking the SG and VV, and using them as a a leap frog" unit, the VV HI's and ties something up, the following round SG assaults to finish it off...something like that? If that is the case I dont see that working so well.

I cant put my finger on it, and maybe it is my lack of experience, but something about this doesnt feel right....

The probelm with that is you would only be able to field 3 Baal's, putting 30+ jp marines behind that is going to be hard, and by only having three Baal's you are increasing their target prioroty to your opponent.

yes his list was definetly optimized for anit infantry duty...we were running our 1250 lists against each other in preperation for a escalation tourny coming up. I was really quite suprised that I won that game, I only lost one 5man squad and one razorback lost it's ass-can. He wasnt rolling to well on those dark lance shots.
