From reading the article and from reading the comments from the various participants, i have this to say to all of you, whether Antiguan or Non-national. Music is the universal language, you might not understand the words at times, but when it is heard it gives a feeling; some times of encouragement, it helps heal or it makes you feel love when you think about that special person in your life. It is a powerful tool that influences the mass, it should be used appropriately, not because "freedom of expression' abounds means that every kind of music is appropriate; remember with great power comes great responsibility. i agree with Dr. Corts' agenda, i hope he targets the media next, because i can remember hearing lewd disgusting lyrics over the airwaves at high day, when children are listening. So when the children do and say certain things we wonder. How? why? They are being influenced by things that they are not ready for yet, because they are children. Jamaicans are talented people they have a style and flavor that has influenced the world for decades, people want to be like them, dress like them, talk like them, dance like them, even be them. Antigua is no different from the world, Jamaican influence has taken it by storm, the DJs on the radio emulate Jamaican accents just to be popular, they play the music 24/7, so again with great power comes great responsibility it is high time as adult we meet our responsibilities censor the media where lewd music is concerned, have some discretion. some of the lyrics only teach our boys to be "badman" and our girls to be "bitches", "whores", lewd and without direction as they become loud, without discretion and un-lady like. One last thing people, when you address our leaders please do so with respect, regardless of how you feel about them.

Where do i even start with this one? it is indeed sad, heartbreaking but also disturbing; there seem to be a "power" of the air that blinds our eyes to what is right in society. There is no love for each other, even if family, it is sad that there was no one to say to them " you all are family, stop this foolishness". Now one is dead and the other going to prison. WAKE UP ANTIGUA! Show some concern, some care.
