RWBrown - you said "The only entity that can address all of these problems systematically is our government." Actually, the only entity that can screw up all the problems systematically and make things 10 times worse is our government.
You don't use gasoline to put out a fire, and you don't use our government as it is right now to fix healthcare. I wouldn't use this administration to fix a leaky faucet.

Tell ya' what folks - how about we just open those silly borders right up? Forget border-patrol, forget immigration laws, forget the RIGHTS of the CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY!!!! Let's just give it up to any illegal who wants to come here, usurp the hell out of our social programs, take our jobs, and then never ONCE think about respecting the laws this country was built on????

Love thy neighbor - how does that translate to "Give them anything they want, at ANY cost to our way of life"??? My God this is infuriating!! How about this - "Render unto Ceasar what is his, and unto the Lord what is His"....ILLEGALS render nothing!!!!!!! Yes, loving your neighbor may apply to immigrants - it DOES NOT apply to ILLEGALS! What applies there is "Call ICE" - plain and simple.

CR, there you go, confusing the liberals with facts again (you know they have no desire for that). Did you happen to catch the interview with Canada's new Director of Health last weekend? She said she doesn't see what can stop the impending collapse of the Canadian heathcare system, that it is unsubstainable. Yeah, that's what we need here alright ~ no thanks.

You're absolutely right carolinamom ~ speaking as a dog lover myself (I have 5), the worst butt-kickin' I ever took was over a dog. So yeah, I do get fightin' mad when I see/know of someone mistreating any animal.____That being said, Vick DID do his time. Why is it we had to listen to tirades and rants of Bush-bashing for EIGHT YEARS, and in August of 2009, anyone not agreeing with Kommissar Obama does so ONLY because of the color of his skin? Why is the least opposition to him labeled only as racist?

Here's a news flash for some of you ~ with the nationalizing of the banking industry, government's intrusion in the auto industry, this administration's hell-bent push for social healthcare, along with all the other crap we've seen in 7 short months, Obama's skin color doesn't even make it into the top 1000 reasons as to why folks don't like him! Stop scapegoating the race card ~ you diminish it more and more each time you do.
