My car died. The only bars around me are and Applebees and some fucking place called "Pluckers". So I'm stuck in my apartment with nothing to do AND NO BOOZE. :(

So I'm going with the only sane option I have tonight.

I'm watching Ru Paul's Drag Race, non-stop, online, all night tonight. If you FEEL ME on my love for RPDR, hit me up. Because right now, this is pretty much the only thing I want to talk about.

I am sort of new.� I came from Gawker, finally fed up with how low it's sunk.� I'm just a little more stubborn than most.� I guess I'm also naive, thinking somehow it might return to better days. But no, it just a receptacle for mental sewage.

I would rank it thusly, in terms of prestige:

1. Magazine People (These are the gods of publishing, like the mighty Olympians)
2. Anyone who works for NPR, PBS, Rheuters, etc. etc.
3. Newspaper people
4. Radio people
5. People who print newsletters at Kinkos about their crazy ramblings about the Lizard People
6. TV people
7. Bloggers
8. Anyone who works for Rupert Murdoch

I should put "People who cover news in Texas in the summer" at the bottom of this list, because it is a new level of shit sucking scum to be covering something called "The God and Country Music Fest" when it's 102 fucking degrees outside.�

(I kid, but I love this fucking job. There's lots of crazy shit but there's lots of awesome shit, too.)

OK, so I have no fucking internet in my apartment right now (blah blah blah I'm saving money blah blah) so I'm in the clubhouse at my apt complex, because I'm trying to download The Wire, Season 2. OK who gives a shit about that, but I am going out of my mind, bored shitless right now. So fucking happy you are here, dude.

I miss Mr. Hip and those blogs. The rest of that site has just gone so far downhill, even worse than we could have ever imagined I think.
