Scott Granneman's Classes : The final video project: a guide

Is finding that editing the final project is MUCH more labor intensive than the actual recording of the screencast.

Scott Granneman's Classes : The Snoop Next Door

Took the time to visit some of these sites and finds it abhorrent and hysterical concurrently. I have not found the need for posting my grievances electronically. I just take care of it immediately. For example, an employee dumped out his ashtray onto the parking lot two cars down from where I was parked. I told him that he dropped something, he gave me the typical "whatever" and walked into work. I picked up each cigarette and lined them up under his windshield wipers. Taking chances, sure, but also making a point. Calling someone out for bad behavior online would be all right if it did not have the potential to completely violate their privacy. Dangerous.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Soooo del.icio.us people can't stand it!

I have Google Reader and bookmarks with my web browser. Social bookmarking doesn't seem to apply to my simple web presence. As with soooo much I've been exposed to in this class, I am missing out on quite a bit. (Though I have reached the top free level on my MMORPG, ShadowTale.com.) Take what you like and leave the rest.

Scott Granneman's Classes : The Most Popular Social Bookmarking Services

FB is where I share most links, but like BMay, there are people (mostly family) that prefer a quick email to something I think they would find entertaining or informative.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Sorry, there’s no easy way of putting this: Lala Sucks

Micropayments...maybe my credit card companies would accept them from me? Lala is not for Mr. Riley, nor is it for me. We all wish we could be so blunt in describing something or other. Too many free sites to pay for this one, even at two nickels.

Just added mixpod to my Facebook page. Having fun so far. Took a bit to build the playlist I wanted. I am amazed at how little I know about what is available out there for FB and the rest of the virtual world.

I'm up there with BMay as well. While there are endless simile opportunities for opinions, I'll digress and say that I'll figure out my own musical tastes without reading about yours. Social music is not in my hierarchy of needs. Just my FM radio in my cave will suit.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Your Guide to Music on the Web, Part II

I'm a bit worried about security when it comes to Skreemr's links to various files. As a devoted follower of Mozilla's Firefox, Foxytunes looks like a viable music option. I think that the number of music services offered online will be streamlined in the near future, and perhaps the offerings will be more user friendly. I throw around that term quite a bit, don't I. Simple, that is all I need in life, simplicity.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Your Guide To Music On The Web – Part 1

Option overload! I must admit my music tastes are eclectic but relatively simple. My cube mate has just started using Pandora (at my suggestion from this week's lesson) and she loves it. I just spent a bit of time combing through the sites above. I was unable to open Jogli, and am not a fan of the independent music scene. Again, I have to say that iTunes, though limited, is super simple and has what I need.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Pandora Usage Stats Prove It’s iPhone’s Killer App

I found Pandora's formula right on. It found new music that I enjoyed. Clicking through the ads is cumbersome. Will likely stick with iTunes and 106.5 the Arch streaming online, as it is not on my list to pay for radio, even customized.

I can't tell you how many songs I've downloaded from iTunes the day after I've watched an episode of So You Think You Can Dance and loved the music. And the number I've downloaded after hearing them slaughtered on Glee. Regardless, kudos to YouTube for hooking us up.

Scott Granneman's Classes : Iran Election Crisis: 10 Incredible YouTube Videos

I feared the same kind of riot just after Krispy Kreme declared bankruptcy. Bad humor aside, I think that these kinds of videos play a vital role in the exposure of such tyranny to the rest of the world. Sure, I am wrapped up in the bubble of my TV and hour-long commute. However, even a two minute video clip of death or oppression opens my eyes to what is real. Next door or across the globe, stuff happens. Bad stuff.

I like the fact that you can watch the video and draw your own conclusions. My conclusion is that the kid should have shut up and followed the requests of the law enforcement representatives. I am careful not to take this one video and draw massive conclusions on the violation of privacy on mankind. It was a few minutes of stupidity. Drop it and move on.

@BMay, I understand your point. @djw 06, I probably wouldn't have shared it with Comcast. I likely would have sent it into something like Contact2 to expose the service issues in the cable television industry. For this video, how about a banner ad for coffee?
