Actually, Blizzard officially hired a director and such a while back. But I can't say I have a lot of faith it'll be good.. Life action Jungle Trolls and such are likely to look really silly (though I guess they could throw in CGI characters alongside the real actors. Just look at that Orc in The Hobbit to see how well that works..), and WoW really fucked up the Warcraft lore so a lot of good opportunities for a movie have been lost. :/

I dunno, "But I am weak and helpless" doesn't really sound like she didn't understand what he was saying. Saying that she didn't realize it also makes her sound like a massive idiot, which I don't think is accurate. A little meek? She backed out at the absolute slightest provocation, he didn't even really behave all that rejectively or anything. It's quite obvious that the whole status quo is God mentality every series seems to have prevented her from actually learning anything from PYHD. :/

I dunno, I feel Fluttershy is pretty inconsistent when it comes to her assertiveness and self-confidence. You have the season 2 intro, where she basically counters Discord by being happy with herself the way she is and not letting her flaws drag her down, showing that she does have confidence in spite of her fears and lack of assertiveness. And then you have Putting Your Hoof Down where that is just thrown out of the window again. :/ And at the end of that same episode, she shows she's not just a doormat by standing up to the rather threatening Iron Will, only for her to be intimidated into backing down by friggin' Spike in Just For Sidekicks. I dunno, I feel she just jumps all over the place. :/

Neh, that just means you have good taste. ;D As a RainbowPie shipper, I can hardly hold that against you, as most DashiePie fics basically work off Pinkie having a completely one-sided crush on Rainbow who doesn't really reciprocrate her feelings. As for RariShy, I just kinda feel like Rarity needs someone who can really stand up to her, who won't just accept her egocentrism and selfishness and keep her grounded a bit. Fluttershy is just a bit too submissive for me to really see her as a good match for Rares. I'd pair her with AJ, but that pairing just doesn't interest me at all, so Rarity is currently Forever Alone in my headcanon. =P

Oh, TwiDash is definitely very popular. TwiDash is the largest ship tag on Derpibooru and the TwiDash group on FiMFiction is many times larger than the RainbowPie group. I never seem to run into anyone who ships it, tho. :/ Hmm, sounds to me like I wouldn't really like it. I'm a sucker for angst, I guess, which makes RainbowPie perfect. =P It's probably because of both. I like Kits on a personal level, but his stories very frequently just don't appeal to me at all, especially with his tendency to mix RainbowPie with TwiPie.. If there's such a thing as an anti-OTP, TwiPie is mine. :/ Hey, I've seen bigger rants. And I'm enjoying this conversation, so I don't mind at all. =P

Hmm, not sure if that's the way I would describe RainbowPie, as that would imply some natural progression from friends to something more, while RainbowPie usually goes for maximum angst and rejection and such. RainbowPie is just (heavily) implied, as much as it pains me to say it. :/ RariShy is completely canon, tho, as Rarity literally states she and Shy are best friends. Can't say I really care for the ship at all, tho.

Yeah, that's totally true. Every Rainbow ship has to deal with the fact that Rainbow is just, well, a dick, to be frank. =P Idealizing her and making her into something she's not, or misrepresenting her intentions to make it seem like she's being insensitive and self-centered for some higher purpose, as with the whole "helping Fluttershy be more assertive" thing, is just plain wrong. She's egocentric, blunt, insensitive, arrogant and kind of oblivious. That doesn't mean she doesn't have redeeming qualities, but these traits do have to be addressed. Also, I think you're doing the ship a disservice when you screw up Dash's characterization like that. By doing so, you seem to be saying that the ship couldn't actually work on its own, that you have to alter the characters to give it some chance of success. It's not a display of strength. Definitely the wrong way to handle it, for any ship.
