Not one of these candidates supports 300 or 301. This is a Chamber of Commerce and Will Tour dream team. They are all part of the pro-growth crowd.

Daily Camera.com: : A conversation with George Karakehian - Boulder Daily Camera

George is a developer and he makes his money off of buying, selling, and renting property. It was his decision to close his neighbor the Boulder Cafe. He is against 300 and 301 and is for building more high density in downtown and East Arapahoe, and he spoke in favor of high density development project at Baseline and US 36. Who cares about "right-sizing" when the issue that matters is destruction of neighborhoods, more traffic, and too many commuting into town. Bob Yates is the new George, so if your for density, vote for Yates.

Daily Camera.com: : Bob Wilson: City council in need of a transfusion - Boulder Daily Camera

Bob Yates and Don Cote are both pro-high density and against Neighborhood Right to Vote. Yates has spoken extensively about the need for high density development in neighborhoods and is part of Boulder One. If your for 300 and 301 and against the current push towards high density and destruction of neighborhoods, then don'e vote for Yates or Cote.

Not nORML is a right wing activist and libertarian, and he doesn't understand the subtleties of Boulder politics. Right wingers like Bob Yates and Green lee are against 300 and 301. Norml is under the impression that Yates is supporting 300 and 301, but he is not. May, Raj and Carlie are for 300 and 301.

Look idiot, most of the petition circulators and the leaders of Livable Boulder are on the PLAN Boulder board, so without PLAN Boulder, you wouldn't have had the petition push to get 300 and 301 on the ballot. You really don't understand Boulder politics.

Yates is explicitly against the neighborhood right to vote. Those in favor of the right to vote are Raj, Carlie, and probably Leonard May, given his editorial. So you can vote for Yates and get a supporter of One Boulder and more density. Given the choice, I would rather have a supporter of 300 and 301, vote against Yates.

Daily Camera.com: : David M. Abelson: \'Neighborhood\' ballot issue likely unconstitutional - Boulder Daily Camera

As a lawyer and a 41 year resident of Boulder, I do not think Mr Abelson is necessarily correct about his analysis. And for a lawyer, his analysis certainly is short. He is assuming that the city cannot be broken down into sub-districts (neighborhoods), each of which can vote on activity within the subdistrict. This type of activity happens all the time within Colorado, where residents in an area are placed in special districts for fire, ambulance, open space, water, etc, and there is no reason why this cannot be done for zoning decisions. Further, the neighborhood doesn't have a veto over city council zone decisions, zoning decisions, the change of zoning by the council is contingent on the neighborhood not voting against the change. Thus, my legal opinion is "no way this violates the Colorado Constitution."

Get rid of center turn lane and have two lanes going south, one lane north, make bike lanes slightly narrower and use concrete to separate from cars. Thus back to two lanes south with wide bike lanes. Create left turn lanes for northbound left on Pearl by moving infrastructure and narrowing sidewalk and bike lane for that section. One lane northbound is fine.

Hee hee, all you pro-developer trolls are really going to go off when you see the slow growth PLAN Boulder County initiative that passes this fall. If your anti PLAN Boulder County, your either a developer, a right winger who hasn't' gotten over his anti 60s resentment (i.e. Andrew Shoemaker), or someone who moved here in the last ten years. Grizzly, your an ignoramus, if you want affordable housing, you can move to one of the crappy nearby cities that didn't have the foresight to limit growth the way Boulder has. There are plenty of front range communities that suck, Broomfield, Superior, Westminster, Centennial, Parker, go live there. Anti-growth rules are why you people are here, so don't ruin it for us by importing your values from elsewhere onto us.

Another person who doesn't live in Boulder and doesn't pay taxes in Boulder asking Boulder for special access. At least Mountain bikers and extreme elite runners live and pay taxes in Boulder. The three letters to the editor are from people outside of Boulder asking for taxpayer money to be spent on a use that has little to do with Boulder residents.
