Yes these 508 issues are a problem that we need to address, and let us know if you come across others.

One note: We can't make YouTube to be 508 compliant; though I believe some conversation around this is happening at a higher level. We currently are requiring all videos to link back to the .gov Web site where that video must be, of course, 508 compliant.

Good points and you're right: the second list you've given is much more clear and complete.

On the Swf files - YouTube takes all the file types uploaded and converts them into the FLV format (which i learned from your url provided) so every viewed video in YouTube, including the embedded videos, are FLVs. So I'm not sure I understand your last point here...Can you expand on what should be provided?

IntenseDebate doesn't have a function that allows anyone to begin their own thread; hence why each our discussion topics is on a separate page. This may be a downside to using IntenseDebate.

However, we're developing protocol on our end to begin to pull out great discussions occuring within larger threads - maybe add a new discussion topic per week (this timing would all depend on the content of the discussions of course).

For now if there are discussion topics you want up, you can either just start talking about it in this space (and it can get pulled out) and/or send the topic to me - read.holman@hhs.gov
