Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/18/09: If GM's Bankrupcy Is "Probable", Shouldn't We Get On With It?

As long as the government has their hand in GM, their future is unsure. I'm waiting to buy. If they go into bankruptcy, then I'm way more sure they will survive, and would then buy a new GM. Labor unions that once served a needed service, now use their power to drive the cost up to where the 'free market' will not support the product. The only industry that has survived with the legacy costs that they have is the Federal Government. Maybe that's why they are so driven to artificially propup a doomed model.

I'd send divers over and pull the drain plug. In the confusion once their in the water, pull the captain under and give him an airtank. Leave the rest for the sharks.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Here's To You, Mr. Jefferson

Good point. Just trying to understand the roadmap we need to follow. The challange is to a) Identify the candidates, and then b)get them elected. Because our country has so many loyal to one of two political parties, it's mathematically impossible to take the Whitehouse without being on one of those tickets. Our system of nominating those candidates means that by the time I get to vote, the choices I'm left often stink. I just don't think a 'Ross Perot' or 'Ron Paul' can ever win. I'm a disenfranchised Republican, and when I talk as an Independent, I get a lot further when I'm talking to someone who voted for "Obama". But I think that the Republican base is closer. I own a newspaper, as well as an Internet company, and have started helping a local Republican Woman's group organize a community wide TEA Party. However, they are sticklers about having it identified as a Republican event, which I think will polorize the potential audience.

This one is over the top. Need to figure our a way to play this at our TEA Party. Here's my fear moving forward.... As both parties have failed us, we're are building a huge majority that transcends the party lines. I'm worried that we will get down to election day 2010, and a candidate that's likely to be one who will fight against big government and corruption will say something like he might support abortion if a mothers life is in danger. Instantly 20% of our coalition will turn against the candidate. I do believe that you've got to stick to your 9/12, but the big picture here is a fundamental change has begun that will destroy America and has to be stopped. So what do I say to the person that will not vote for anyone that's not 100% standing up for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness?
