I don't see any humor in this at all. Someone lost their life, will not return home to their family and friends and you have the audacity to make a joke out of it. If you have an inside joke going, keep it to yourself, it's not only in bad taste, but your remark is insensitive and inhumane.

About half do. But what's scary is that 1out of 10 tractor operators will overturn a tractor in their lifetime. The only other factor is that if someone does have a roll bar, they also need to be wearing their seat belt for obvious reasons.

Those are two completely separate situations. No, I do not agree that it is OK for someone to be charged as a sex offender for slapping someone on the behind, and I believe that the laws should be adjusted to handle such instances, but for situations like this, I believe he needs to serve his time. The girl he allegedly touched inappropriately will have to live with that for the rest of her life, and sexual abuse affects every individual differently, who knows how this girl will be affected. I can't justify in any way what he did, we all make mistakes, but touching a child or sexually abusing anyone is inexcusable. He is 64, and by this time in his life he should know the difference between right and wrong, and being as old as he is, if he didn't know it was wrong, I doubt that he will be able to be rehabilitated the same a twenty year old would be. There is a reason for prisons and I'm a firm believer in rehabilitation but I think in this case, whatever he gets, he deserves, if he is found guilty.

So are you saying that they should only receive a slap on the wrist and shouldn't have to serve prison time for such indiscretions? You truly believe that someone who did this to a young girl shouldn't have to be locked up? At 64 I'm sure this isn't the first time this guy has done it, it's just the first time he was caught. I'm fine with paying for this jerk to be locked up, if he is found guilty of course.

Agreed. Although I probably will not be raising any chickens of my own (my boyfriend's parents already have some that we occasionally get eggs from, yum!) but I will support the people who do. Not only do I think it's better to raise your own food when you can, it could also be a nice small business opportunity for the people who do. I'd buy eggs from my neighbors if given the opportunity and I'm sure others would too.

Well put! The issue isn't where people are coming from it is what they are being taught. Maybe Officer Bailey can be a good influence on the kids who are causing trouble, and instead of being looked at as an officer be looked at as a peer or someone they can turn to. I'm wishing IC and Officer Bailey the best of luck, I know there are a lot of people that don't have the courage to do what he is doing and therefore are the cowards posting on this forum about how he's going to get "beat down". To those people I say, if you're so good at preventing crime, why not become a police officer yourself and show it.

Here's a thought, why don't all stores make it a rule to check ID whenever someone uses a card, they do it for checks, why not cards? I know there are only a few locations that do check someone's ID anytime they use a card, and I'm really grateful for those places, one of them is Theisen's. I can only count one time that I've went in there and someone didn't check my ID. It may be an extra 20 seconds to show proof, but that gives cardholders a little bit of relief if we ever lose our cards.
