I think she did the right thing. She explained it very well, in my opinion. The ramifications of her high profile has attracted those who are scared to death of her and will stop at nothing to destroy her. It was not fair to the people of Alaska for her to be distracted from her duties to fight the fight of self preservation. She has done more for Alaska in the 2 1/2 years she has served, of her one term, than several of those before her combined. Stepping aside to allow the Lt. Governor to finish her term is in the best interest of the people of Alaska. She is not a politician but a statesman.

I do not believe it would be in her best interest to run for the Senate and I do not believe she will, she is smarter than that. The time and money to run for Senate would be better spent building a grass roots organization and supporting and endorsing Constitutionalist Patriots around the country in 2010, while preparing for 2012.

Thanks for the awesome post. It has been years since I first heard this. It was exactly what I needed. I just got up and walked out of a Veterans Recognition program, shouting "Commie Sympathizer" and booing when they introduced the Commie Tax and Spend Democrat Congressman (He voted for Cap and Trade and the 2009 Stimulus bill). I was quite upset and this post hit the spot. Thanks again for reminding us of the price we may find ourselves paying to keep this great country free.

I totally agree. We need to vote out most of the 435, there are very few who deserve to return, just based on their votes and their pork.

The problem is the size of the bills. They need to be limited to a size that they can be read in 15 minutes and understood by a 5th grader. CONGRESS IS OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY DO NOT REPRESENT US AND WE NEED TO FIX THAT.

The congressmen are elected to represent "We The People". If they have perverted the system, maybe we need to start over with 435 new people, whose sole purpose is to represent their constituents.

We all need to write, e-mail and or call our Representatives and put them on notice that:
VOTING FOR ANY BILL THAT THEY HAVE NOT READ IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!

The Wicked Witch of the West keeps ramming this stuff through without time for the representatives to read it.

We need to make every representative in DC aware that the only option, if they have not been afforded time to read the bill fully,IS TO VOTE NO!!

I thought the 13th amendment outlawed involuntary servitude. When you add up all the taxes we pay it is well in excess of 50% of what we make. I believe that constitutes involuntary servitude. What we need is a class action law suit against the US Government. That and we need to repeal the 16th amendment.

Well, I know "Capricorn One" made me wonder if we had really gone to the moon.

But, I believe O.J. was inocent and covering up for his son who never would have beaten the wrap.

Just another one of the "Sunday Circuses" spoken of in the article in Pravda. America's people have been dumbed down through a worthless public school system teaching re-written history, and a liberal social view as well as situational ethics. The churches have quit teaching the truth an biblical morality, and give the people 20 minutes of "fluff and stuff" and collect their offerings and go. Too much conviction dampens the giving. There is no one calling anyone on their bs.
