Now i"m in my 60's. I realize I was indoctrine in the belief our constitution and government was based on democracy and majority rules. Our questions on a republic government were never answered even though occasionally our text books might mention that was the way our constitution was written. What an eye opener at my age. Our schools are no better at teaching the truth than any other countrys. Its up to us to teach our children the truth. When people throw their hats in the political ring they be required to display their knowledge of the constitution by taking a written exam. Should they fail, then an intense course on the constitution be taken and retested. 2. Term limits. 3. All 50 States be required to monitor their elected officials and inform (in writing) the registered voters of their state. 4. One Bill (no pork) One Vote. 5. All Congressional members be required to sit in chambers 6 hours per day 5 days a week and take care of bussiness on the floor. 6. Revamping retirement benefits. Full salary for life is too much for services we have been receiving.
