I love TED, they have the coolest things happening there. This idea is amazing. I think it will take some time to get commercialized, but there is tremendous potential.
This is going to be really interesting to see what happens. I wouldn't put my money blindly on Google, because if all the Telco's are smart they will see the potential threat here and band together to prevent Google from dominating.
These are really neat. I wonder how much time goes into producing them. Like the train station freeze we saw in class, they must have practised for some time, I would guess.
Hilarious, I can't believe it.
really interesing. i think that text messaging and email is what i dislike most about the iPhone. I didn't get an iPhone for that reason -- I like the keyboard on my BB because I send a lot of email and texts.
Interesting point, how this is such a dynamic course. I wonder how different next year will be? Especially the guest speakers -- some are going to have companies that look radically different. To stay up to date, I think you just have to stay active online through blogs and reading relevant publishings like TechCrunch.
I think web 2.0 is for everyday activities and that is why it's exciting. So many different opportunities are emerging in all different markets that the whole game is starting again.
interesting point of view -- look on the bright side, things could always be worse. i'm not sure if i completely agree though because as times change and we move forward as a society, so should expectations. just because people lived in worse conditions years ago, does not mean that we should be happy with whatever we have today because it is better than yesterday, does it?
that's pretty cool. where do they get the pages? are all old website still available online somewhere, or have they created their own database?
I'm actually not very impressed with the site, and probably would not buy from them. I think the home page should have some more pictures on it, to help understand what each of the sections are. What are "gubbins" or the "magpie's nest"? I could probably go in and find out but I don't have time to do that, should be more transparent.
Also I agree with Laura's point. There needs to be more products per page, or a better way to sort. Once you click on a section there is only a vertical display of products. Who would ever get to page 16 of Lotions and Potions?
