@Charnie-- we obviously agree to disagree. However, I would never fault you or call you ignorant because of decision you make about celebrating a holiday. Rather I think that this article (and my experiance for that matter) reveals one of the many different ways jews choose to celebrate during the holiday season.
I celebrate certain aspects of it-- each easter I have an easter egg hunt, and when I was young I used to get an Easter basket with goodies from the Easter bunny. Similar idea to how I celebrated Christmas-- focusing on the joy of the season, and the childhood excitement of a visit from the Easter bunny.
As a jew who celebrates christmas (and who has always had an hard time explaining to people why), I think this article really hits the right note. You can be jewish, celebrate jewish values, and experiance the childhood joys of the christmas season. Bravo to celebrating both!
