Calming Reflections : A Simple Kindness Remembered

Thanks Dave - Yes, I am definitely not a public speaking kind of person, but the funny thing is that those who work with me, look at me in shock if I say that to them. lol Interestingly, I once spoke to somebody who does public speaking in front of thousands, and she said she was 'not a public speaker' and that each time she is required to speak in front of these thousands, she actually becomes physically ill before she goes on. So, I remember that thought, and know I'm not alone in that aspect, but it can be done! :)

Thank you Brian, and I really believe that its those people who shine that light, those moments, that are some of the most important, and that we should not forget so we can remind ourselves to pass that kindness on. :)

Dawn, as far as my job, I must confess, I am your typical 'jack of all trades, but master of none'. It is the people who are around me that are the true success story. It IS a beautiful thing to be the recipient of such kindness. They were such unexpected, but beautiful gestures - ones that I will never forget. And I absolutely agree about the ripples in the pond, kindness is one of those things that ripples into a beautiful sea and enriches the lives of many. But you, my friend, are a never ending skipping stone - creating ripples of kindness and light (sparkles) wherever you go. :) Thank you <3

Thank you Yvonne, and yes, I am a very firm believer in what a difference kindness can make. Its one thing to hear of it, and still another to hear of an example. One of my favorite quotes says so much: "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." ~L.
Yes, laughter sometimes really IS the best medicine! And it is something that I embrace, both at work with my staff, at home with my family, and as you've seen evidenced on facebook - online in the virtual world too. (And hope you won't be too disappointed that I haven't gotten any slippers yet, but they are on my shopping list - the brightest, fuzziest, and most fun character that I can find!) :D I also check the intense debate settings, but will have to look for any area for character limitations. Hopefully there is one! :)

LoL, thanks Beth! Yes, the Robotic Blues definitely have a negative impact on our memory! Although I wrote and have them fully in my mind, I had to stop a moment this week in order to realize I was not following my own advice! :) Hopefully you were able to, and a little something worked to bring a little more "connection" to your life and self. I know I will be working much harder this upcoming week!
