True, but there should be tangible memorabilia that will only instill more pride into the team from its fans. God knows Mets fans deserve it..

I was told that other than the blue and orange all over the place, you would have no idea you were in a Mets ballpark. That def. has to change. Theres no reason why there cant be a section dedicated to the Miracle Mets, the '86 team and even the 2000 team. Time will tell how this is addressed.

"Something to be said for a self labeled 'cheap b______' who planned on spending a night in a NY airport bar, but then wants to call out the behavior of fellow bar mates who may or may not have been New Yorkers. Just as the 'uncivilized' people you 'bumped' into in that same airport may or may not have been New Yorkers" Lol Very nice pick up. His "ordeal" (boo hoo) took place at an airport... Who's to say those people were from NY?! Read my comments above.

Btw, youre telling us that the "Miracle Mets" of '69 and a bunch of good but not great players of 1986 who worked well as a coherant team didnt "earn" it?

As I said tho, Dirty. If Reyes had received the ball cleanly from Murph, he would have been dead to rights at home. He was expecting a catch but had to ready himself for a grounder.

Im very impressed with Murphy. He looks great out there in the 2 hole, but as we know, we all have to hold our breath when a ball his sailed his way. Other teams know that to and are taking full advantage. Still though, Ill take him feeling his way out there as long as he contributes with the bat.

It would appear so but you have to take into account before Reyes had the ball. He was expecting a catch from Murph, but instead had to ready himself to pick up a grounder. That can easily throw you off. (No pun intended).

I can bet that the throw home would had been on the mark if Reyes had received the ball cleanly by Murphy.

It was all for nothing, Kevin plus Santana got the loss. Look, I am def. not one of those Chicken Little Mets fans but yesterdays loss was extrememly disheartening. Cant wallow in it too much though. We gotta home opener tonight.
