This video gave me chills, well done TNA! This story with AJ and his new character has been one of the best things for me personally while watching IMPACT lately. I'm patiently anticipating tomorrows show, for sure.

Yeah that last bit was tongue-in-cheek. I knew you meant knockouts lol.

I'm not going to comment on Taryn Terrell right now. I don't want to sound too negative as some of my comments may have come off as such. I've done enough already and it was incidental as I wasn't even trying to be negative before. But in regards to Terrell, I'm going to hold my tongue.

Same goes for Chavo...

And, yes, room for improvement. I agree!

The context of my comment is the current product vs the product of the past.

Compared to Taylor Wilde, Roxxi, Sarita, Hamada, Angelina Love, Alissa Flash, etc., I don't believe the current lineup of knockouts match up to the impressive lineup of the past. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Tessmacher and would rather have her featured than Terrell or Velvet Sky. Lackluster may have been to harsh a word.

I suppose my comment focuses too much on past comparisons rather than looking at the current product for what it is. I may sound like I'm being negative but that, in no way, was my intention. I do enjoy the current knockout's division for what it is, and it's direction is looking bright. I just fret the possibility of the division getting too "diva-esque," as, the reason why I enjoyed them back then was because they were the opposite of the divas division.

Chris, in ring ability was one of a few points i brought up.

-- Character
-- Looks
-- Real story lines (not just feuds)
-- in ring ability

The three women I mentioned all have similar characters, similar looks, and (more or less) similar in ring ability. I'm more in favor of a deeper division with distinguishing characters and contrasting personalities.

I may have come across a bit down on the division in my first post, but in truth, I am enjoying the current state of the division and am looking forward to the direction of the division. I guess I was simply comparing the current knockouts to the knockouts of the past. Which I enjoyed so much more that it was what got me hooked on TNA. (Along with the X Division and Tag Division).

I stated that I believe the current female product is somewhere in between their highest of highs and their lowest of lows. Thats not bad considering how high they set the standard. I just don't want them to fall to the standard of the "divas division."

"[...] there's so many postives right now for TNA's divas"

My greatest fear: TNA divas. That sentence made me cringe...

Excited for his return to IMPACT and his return to the X Division. He has alot of personality and character to add to the mix.

I'm happy to see the knockouts getting more time to showcase their stuff. Strong womens wrestling was one of the reasons why I began watching TNA in the first place. The division has been through its ups, and its downs. Currently I believe its somewhere in between. I agree that it has become rather "diva-esque" and I attribute that to one-dimensional characters like "the girl next door" Ms. Tess, "the blond beauty" Velvet Sky, and "the hot mess" Taryn Terrell. (Not to mention their lackluster performances.)

The pattern is pushing women based on their looks as opposed to their ability. The reason why the knockouts were so popular in their good ole days was because the division featured interesting characters, multiple story lines, and talented in ring performers who simply happen to be female. They drew the audience in because, simply put, no other national wrestling promotion was producing a compelling female wrestling product.

TNA has showed us some positive signs which you pointed out in your column that gives me hope for a better division. I believe the creative team has been putting more effort in each division recently (new X rules, finally the TV title gets defended) and I hope the knockout's current product improves. I am somewhat skeptical, but in the meantime while things progress, I'll be crossing my fingers.

"Bobby Roode vs. Chris Sabin"

yes... Yes... YES! :-) I'm happy to see continuation is important to IMPACT. That match (and potential feud that follows) is going to be very fun to watch.
