I guess I was the only one who took "small twisted braids" as a two strand twist type of style.

Regradless banning something that is so inherently directed at a specific group of children seems ridiculous to me. Having been natural all my life I know as a natural kid you don't have many hair options other than a quick puff or some braids/twists. So to have them banded at the school you attend while they want your hair to look "natural, clean and well groomed" is very counter-productive. That basically telling a child that their hair the way it NATURAL IS isn't good enough.
