KOMO - Seattle, WA : Shots fired at Southcenter Mall | Tukwila News

Not true. Someone ruined my credit before I turned 18 and I'm still stuck with the scar of the low credit score. It is extremely hard to fight identity theft. I've sent letters, made calls, etc. Collections agencies are so crooked that they leave you alone for a while - they sell 'your' debt to another agency, and the phone calls & letters begin all over again.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : 3 injured as car strikes people near Southcenter Mall | Tukwila News

I agree with you. And whose to say that she's at fault? Her only fault may be that she initially left the scene. The details are so sketchy that we don't know if the pedestrians had the right of way or not. And yes, she hit 3 people but like I said in an earlier post, I saw families crossing busy streets (in the middle of the street) with their children in tow. I wouldn't be surprised either way, I guess.

Fight or flight is an involuntary response that occurs inside your body via the sympathetic nervous system. Whenever you encounter stress (any kind of major stress) some of your body functions will shut down so that you can flee (digestive system, etc). I give the lady credit for returning to the scene, but she should have stayed in the first place. And I'm not saying that the pedestrians are to blame, but I was around the Sounthcenter area on Friday and Sunday and people were crossing in the middle of busy streets like they had steel bumpers on their butts. I saw several people doing this while clutching the hand(s) of their small children...

And you'd have to have common sense to understand my point. You said something about EVERY person having the chance to rise or fall. And my point is that the country was not founded on that principle. Your little history lesson was cute, but let's stick to the point.

Not true, read a history book. This country was founded because a group of settlers wanted to practice their religion in peace. At first, only land-owning white males could vote. Eventually women and minorities followed, but that was much later after the founding. Even rich people can succumb to disease and it's a shame that Americans are dying because of our belief in excess. Ever heard that too much of a good thing can be bad?

I agree with you! Personally, I wouldn't buy this game & think it's lame. I guess the days of good old face to face human interaction are coming to a close. And we wonder why the younger generations aren't properly "socialized".

Do you have a link? I'd be interested in reading that. The only way you can tell the sex of a skeleton/set of bones it to look at the pelvic bone. If investigators find the pelvic bone, they can start putting together the profile of the victim.

I have an even better example: former Vice President Dick Cheney. Nigeria dropped the charges against him after some talk about paying a fine. And this is after his company ADMITTED to bribing officials. I agree with you, and let me just add that I work in law enforcement. However, I know that I'm held to a higher standard and I use the power of the almighty cab or designated driver after a night out with friends...

I completely agree with you, but I doubt if he will lose his job. You'd be surprised how many law enforcement officials keep their jobs with DUI convictions. I'm not anti-law enforcement by any means, but they rarely get dismissed for this type of thing.

That's what I was thinking! I'm a light-weight, so .227 would equal alcohol poisioning for me. Makes me wonder if the guy drinks (in whatever quantities) everyday. You have to build up a tolerance to handle that much liquor.

Sure didn't! I feel sorry for the boy in this case, but I blame his parents. It's just one of those sad cases where all the beings involved did what made sense to them - a 10 yr old boy retrieves a ball, and three dogs attack an intruder.

Manners are taught & common sense isn't common. I'm glad they returned the dogs, but this incident shows me how lucky I am. I hopped over countless fences as a kid to retrieve balls. Then again, all my neighbors and I knew each other very well.
