This isn't saying that kids can't work or can't have a job, this was intended to keep kids from doing the sorts of things that stand a damn good chance of killing them.

You know you can rent a forklift, right? What's the better deal, a couple hundred bucks to rent a forklift for a day (with longer rental terms offering better rates) or risk having your 17 year old son get his head smashed against a metal rail? You don't need to go out and buy the whole thing, just get it for the days when you need it. And while some farms are hundreds of miles in size, the average family farm doesn't come anywhere near this size (latest data shows that the average family farm is less than a mile square).

You are dumb. The murder victim was killed in 2004. Guess what was going on in 2004? Not the economic meltdown that lead to the establishment of the Occupy Movement. It's not even the tenure of the same president that saw the rise of Occupy.

Because it's one thing to have a Constitutional right, it's an entirely different matter if you choose to actually exercise it.

Except that was never proven. The prosecution even failed to provide a conclusive cause-of-death for Caylee. I'd imagine it's very hard to build a case for a murder charge when you're not even sure if the victim was actually murdered. It'd be even harder, I would imagine, for a jury to convict someone, anyone, on a crime that might not even have happened. It's one thing if you've got, say, an obvious murder victim with 57 gunshot wounds in him... you know that *someone* killed him, the problem is proving who... but in this case, they were not able to prove that Caylee was, in fact, murdered, let alone who did it, if it had been done at all.

You don't hold trials in states where you're not accused of a crime. That's not how it works.

Actually, it should be mandatory. Public executions should be the fate of the condemned, and viewing of the execution should be required for all citizens of legal voting age. Why? Because voting citizens are responsible for the way our government and our courts function. If we're going to support a death penalty, then we need to be informed, as a citizenry, what that involves.

The headline has the potential to create controversy, which leads to more page-views, which leads to more advertisement revenue for the website.

Eh, except Bloomberg, though now an Independent, was registered as a Republican for six years prior to the switch, and a Democrat before that... so it's impossible to say where the heck this guy is coming from, really.

Stop giving the corn industry government subsidies, so that the junk food & HFCS that comes from it actually costs something approaching its actual price *or* add a "sin tax" to junk food, and not to healthy food.
