I've always though the same thing about Sean Penn. Mystic River anyone. That was one of the worst performances I've seen in my lifetime win an Oscar. I can't stand Tim Robbins but I walked away from that movie stating to any whom would listen that his(Robbins)performance deserved to win an Academy Award. He did an unbelievable job in conveying at both the way what robbed him of his childhood & innocence and still in a dramatically understated way still affects the every waking moment of his adult life as in reality it would.

For me, it was the adrenaline needle scene.
Was sitting in a older theater that was only there until the bigger multi-plex behind it was finished and�when he (Travolta obviously) brought that needle back, the whole row of seat�I was in also leaned back. it was one of the great movie experiences of my life.

The first movie that I remember being affected in the same kind of physical(has happened a few times since)aspect was \"Pulp Fiction\". I walked out of the theatre with my brother and neither of us said a thing until we got to the car at which time we both stated; \"holy sh*t\". It was a great movie going experience. Felt drained afterwards. Almost the same thing happened�after viewing \"Saving Private Ryan\", Matt Damon aside.
I don't care what political affiliation�Mr. Spielberg is, anyone that did\"Saving Private Ryan\", \"Band of Brothers\", \"Schindler's List\" and not to mention the work he's done with the SHOAH foundation, is ok in my book. By ok I really mean he should be lauded.

It's strange to say, but in a way I felt physically affected by it.
That's how you know you've seen a movie that's a cut-above.
Was nice to see a movie with a minimalistic approach. Just like in the movie \"Signs\", in how it delt with alien invasion. kind of.

I'm a heterosexual ,conservative-libertarian male with whom has had and still does have plenty of both male and female gay friends and acquaintances. I don't choose my friends based on religious beliefs, sexual orieatation,color of skin or if they're an Oakl;and Raider fan like myself. Not to be a smarta** but Debby Reynolds was 14 when It's a Wonderful Life was done. You're thinking of Donna Reed. And that scene between she and Stewart on the phone is truly one of the most sensual scenes ever filmed. Maybe one of the Big Hollywood insiders cold do some digging in regards to her not wanting to work with Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life. I've never read or heard of any accounts from other co-stars in any movie or TV shows he did quite like that. All I've ever heard are extremely positive comments towards he and that he was a very generous actor and a true and sincere person. Not to mention a very humble war hero to boot. As a matter of fact, he has a famous quote regarding Miss Arthur. It goes like this:"“She's the finest actress I ever worked with. No one had her humor, her timing”. I'll do more digging but I think only she really knew.

My single favorite actress of all-time. That voice was mesmerizing. What a graceful exit in Shane. She definetly went out on top. My favorite role of hers was Mr. Deeds Goes to Town followed closely by The More the Merrier.

Speaking of \"The Apartment\" Billy Wilder intended that Paul Douglas play the part of Mr.Scheldrake but Douglas died before shooting. I could see him in the part though. He was�very good�in \"A Letter to Three Wives\" and the extremely underrated \"Panic in the Streets\".
Thanks for referencing \"Solid Gold Cadillac\". For some reason I've never heard of it. Kind of sad for an old movie buff�I know. Am going to find it online and watch it soon when.
