Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Vent through May 13th

How about organizing "tea parties" at Chrysler and GM dealerships to protest political paybacks and support the rule of law? If everybody who wants to DO something would take 5 people out to the nearest dealership you could get your voices heard by hundreds quickly. It worked for ACORN busing people to AIG homes.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/23/09: President Obama's National Security Moves...

I don't see any difference between the use of torture and stimulus in that they are both anti-American. You can't throw your principals out when you are threatened. Conservatives are saying that we can't take stimulus, even when the economy is threatened. I agree. But stick to your guns when it comes to other security. Do you really want a country that tortures? That can pull you off the street for no known reason and do whatever it wants? What if the government keeps to theories like the recent HSA report and all off a sudden you are in jail and they want to know who your friends are? The point is this is a bad policy. If Bush felt that this was the right thing to do, to keep people safe, fine. Say so, and take your knocks, knowing that people are alive and thankful to you. Don't twist the country into something else. In future, prosecute the bad guys, promptly and harshly. Bring back the death penalty and stop letting people languish in comfort for years. Deter that way and you won't have to go after them harshly. Don't get caught up in left and right. Remember the Constitution and what the country was founded on. Causing anyone pain is as absent as charity.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 4/20/09: Senior WH Advisor Says Tea Party Movement Is "Unhealthy"

FANTASTIC POST! I wish we knew as much about what to do as we do why we are angry, but we do have reasons. These things seem like clear cut laws to me, I don't understand how we have a government who can go around them and do whatever they want. Great to see educated voices like yours though.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : New Poll: Tea Parties

They don't need to get it. All they need to do is promise cuts and if the majority of the people believe them, they get away with it. It's really hard for me to figure out if the majority believe it. I'd like to say people are smarter than that but I'm doubting it. How do you get people to understand the problem before the problem hits when supposedly trustworthy people tell us not to worry about it?

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Tea Parties

After seeing all the "tax" talk at the Tea Party, I realized there was a lot left unsaid about the corporate greed and special interest groups that did not get represented. I see them as having A LOT of the blame. We can't ignore the gap between the very rich and the rest of us has gotten bigger. Taxes were one way to even that out but it would be better to get the special interests out of washington, get the incumbents out who make it easy for corporations to get laws written that give themselves advantages and leave the rest of us looking for jobs. Why is it harder for an individual to lose everything in bankruptcy than it is a company? If GM declares bankruptcy, they will strand people without the payments they were promised and unlike the company, the people will have no way to continue earning revenue. The company will still have the means to earn money and those running it will eventually be rich while waving to the masses. There ought to be a big re-examination of laws to see if they solved a problem or just created new ones. Maybe don't try to fix the old law, just repeal it. No matter what you do, people will always be people and you can't regulate the petty, greedy, manipulative streak out of us.

BILL OF RESPONSIBILITIES For all those who believe we are being stupid for protesting tax in a park paid for with tax money. How about those people getting public assistance have increased consequences. For example, unemployment for six months while you look for a job. With your free time, mandatory 20 hours a week community service. Until people see that what they want has consequences, they will keep asking for more until the country is bankrupt and there is no one left to pay for it. Everybody rails against entitlements, but when you suggest something that touches them, it's suddenly ok. How would you feel if there were no public schools. The question is, is it for the government to control? If so, can we do it by the state or is it one size fits all at the federal level? Does the Constitution allow for the Federal government to control it? Is it a system being taken advantage of? Is it "free"money but you can give something back to the system?

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 17 Socialists In Congress?

I think what Glenn is doing is great but unfortunately not enough. Even Glenn doesn't take the last steps and embrace the way the country was pre-1912 when the so-called Progressive movement began. I liked Ron Paul for that reason. End the Fed, get out of policing the world, and other policies Glenn pronounced as too much. It's like asking the guy on the street about bailouts.... everyone will say they are no good until you ask about their pet project. They might know someone on food stamps, or getting a farm subsidy, etc. Until you see the country get A LOT worse, most people are going to sit and watch, no matter how much they know about history.

I agree but I hope that people keep trying. I think it's a huge first step that people are actually demonstrating. Hopefully, they will continue to feel passionate after they are ignored and continue. I'm afraid we are too used to saying it doesn't make a difference and sitting. But if it didn't make a difference, the loud mouth demonstrators wouldn't have been able to push us so far off course. It's still up to us.

I agree with you and it feels hopeless. Not only are most people content, they have blind faith that the messiah will make things better. Those who do feel the need to protest are fearful of government and don't speak out. It's pathetic that the law abiding people are more afraid of speaking their minds than those who feel entitled to more. I'm just trying to figure out whether we need to prepare for anything at all because the thought of americans actually getting out of their comfort zone and standing up for the Constitution is kinda farfetched.

I have the same concerns. Michelle Malkin wrote eloquently about it. But they haven't enforced the law in so long, there's no way they will now. I can't believe we have no legal, peaceable recourse against a government that won't enforce it's own laws. Did you know that the US Supreme Court ruled that the income tax was illegal?? No one cares. They can take our life away.

This is insane! What captain talks about socialism and then thinks people who defend the Constitution would follow him. I think the military are in a horrible spot for exactly that reason. Did you hear Glenn's caller to the radio show, wanting to Glenn's opinion on if the military was still serving the Constitution? A problem question but I hope more people are thinking about it and getting ready to defend and stand against those giving the orders. I'm afraid they won't be and I don't know how to help them.

Does anyone know why we can't sue the government for these actions? If illegals can sue for instate tuition and win, you can't tell me there's no legal argument against extortion and contract violation. I'm a taxpayer and I want the government to take the money back, so my interests aren't being represented. Is it just too hard to sue the government? People are too scared? Don't we have "shareholder" rights even if this, in my opinion, Constitutionally criminal behavior is accepted?

I agree. I'm thinking of buying a sign at the bus stop. I may as well spend the money on something I believe in before they take it from me. But if we could get everyone to pitch in it'd be great. However, right now I don't even see tee bags anywhere. A tea bag over the door would work for me too.
