Mr Muir, I have been reading your cartoon everyday now for months and have regularly checked it for a couple of years. It is as much a part of my day as checking out Drudge, NRO and Big Journalism. I was so pleased to see it here! I hope you continue to do well, as your success is much deserved! You know what? You are absolutely right. The Beast has been living his life, working hard, raising a family and just trying to get by. Complaining about the government and voting or not. Mostly, just wanting to be left the hell alone. It has been become painfully obvious that we can't live like that any more. The government has firmly entrenched itself and it is time to fight back. ____Should it have awoken years ago? Yes. Aboslutely. But, I would argue, better late than never.

Mr. Marcus, I whole heartedly thank you for your article. It is about time this race thing be over. I think it would have been long, long ago if it were not for the MSM, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton keeping it alive for their own crooked agenda's. I would love for you to write an article about how liberals in the media and elsewhere do not perceive black conservatives as being, well . . . black. Somehow, because of their political beliefs they are magically white. A couple of years ago, a school in my area was celebrating black history month by having the children dress as famous black people. A teacher assigned a student to come in as Tina Turner. The father of the student called to complain and said that he would be dressing his child as Condalisa Rice. This teacher wouldn't allow it, saying that she wasn't really black. I am not making this stuff up.

I wish you were right. Though it is not the case. I remember when the list came out in the Roanoke Times a few years ago. Criminals were actually targeting these homes to steal the guns. There is a website (blog?) out there (not sure what it is and, frankly, don't want to know) run by seasoned criminals. It linked to the article and then explained to VA criminals how to wait until the man of the house would leave for the day and then target the stay at home mom/wife and then break in and steal the guns. Terrifying.

Thank you Ms. Shiver! I have been waiting months for an article like this to come out. I have been following this health care debacle as much as time will allow for months. I can't tell you how many articles I have read that follow with comments from the readers that stated thing like: what are you rebublicans complaining about. Your party has offered nothing!! I would get so frustrated as I knew this was completely untrue. These leftists were doing the same thing they always do. Following the MSM with no regard for the truth. Republicans had several bills on the table that were being completely ignored by our president and Congress and the MSM. Heck, these bills were so ignored that I couldn't even find news of them much beyond the website of the politician pushing the bill. It is finally time to scrap this health care bill for good and get back to free market pricipals. My doctor even said the same thing when I asked him about it. He said this, more than anything else, would drive down costs of care and increase quality of care.

I have never been able to understand the left's facination with Castro or Che. Even when I was little I understood they were evil and I didn't even know the atrocities they committed. I understood they were communist and that was enough. I learned about communism in about 8th or 9th grade. I remember, vividly, thinking "wow what a great idea this is. everyone would be on equal footing." My very next thought was "Wait a minute. This would never work. Only some people would work for the benefit of everyone else. All this does is promote laziness and nothing at all would be accomplished." Why is it that a 13 year old can figure this out but not the Ivy League elite. Aren't they supposed to be the best and the brightest? Now that I understand the horrors these regimes have put these people through I can only wonder where these elites have their heads shoved? How can they justify these tortures (real torture I might add, not simply sleep deprivation)? Or, are they so incredibly stupid that they honestly don't know about them?

While I still find the lies and bias of the MSM a bit terrifying (I can't, for the life of me, understand how someone can lead their life "feeling" something is right as opposed to good ol' logic or those pesky thing called facts) I take heart in the fact that they are not changing their ways. If they did see their errors and begin to finally understand us Tea Partiers they would come at us from a different angle and gain the trust back of some of the people who are finally seeing the light. The more ignorant and just plain stupid they remain, the more they continue to dig that 6 foot hole.
