Hooniverse : Hooniverse Asks- What's the Dumbest Specialty Tool Required Maintenance Issue You've Ever Encountere

36mm happens to be the axle nut on my car so I actually do have a socket, along with a 30mm one for the oil cooler. It's kind of expensive buying these things one at a time.

My Prelude can do this too, only with a *special tool* (paper clip) instead of a fuse. There aren't very many codes and they can be misleading, but I think I'd rather have that than no codes. The only one I've seen was for the MAP sensor, which actually turned out to mean, "You dummy, your intake manifold is only screwed on finger-tight and there's a massive vacuum leak!" I have been thinking about buying an OBD2 scanner even though my car is too old, because every time a friend or family member's engine light comes on, I feel dumb not being able to read it.

Hooniverse : Hooniverse Asks- Do You Know What all the Buttons in Your Car do?

But seriously, it wasn't too hard to figure these out... The only "user interface" confusion I've had in a Honda was in my first car. I thought it had a broken windshield washer pump because the icon on the stalk is a little mist symbol with a down arrow. The arrow is actually intended to mean pull the stalk toward you. But when you don't know that and you push the stalk downward, and it wipes the windshield without spraying anything, you first assume you're out of fluid. Then after you top it off you assume it's broken because after all, you paid $750 for the car. Then you accidentally spray your windshield a week later.

You know, my parents' '95 Explorer has been like that. Indestructible little truck, except everything electric is broken.

Hooniverse : Hooniverse Asks- Twofer: What Car Introduced in the ‘90s has Aged the Best? Which has the Worst?

Needs a huge grille and headlights reaching up the fenders to fit in nowadays. In other words, I'm glad it looks somewhat dated! But yes, still good looking.

I shot from a moving car, maybe 20 MPH. Exposure is 1/160. To the camera, the house doesn't seem to move as much as the parked car in the foreground. The dark and featureless road helps trick your eye: if you saw how blurred it was, you'd know what was going on.
