Seems the right aren't immune from their own form of Wokeness!

Here is another link to coverage, although you may not like the source .https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/top-stories/peter-kellner-on-boris-johnson-and-keir-starmer-polling-1-6746756

From my understanding the Swing generally is 4% to Labour, yet the Redwall seats exceed that at 7%. I agree that the Covid is likely to be the main factor, but the larger swing in these seats specifically is interesting, as if they were so firmly set on Brexit, surely the swing away from Cons would be less than the average?

I think it is too early to talk about their lost heartlands.

Peter Kellner at Yougov is looking at 7% Swings to Labour in the Red Wall seats. To me that the suggests the narrative about those seats voting Cons simply due to Brexit may be overstated, and it could be due to a dislike of Cobyn.

For what it is worth, here is a link : -https://www7.politicalbetting.com/index.php/archives/2020/07/16/new-polling-analysis-by-peter-kellner-suggests-that-the-tories-could-lose-power-if-an-election-was-held-now/

Funny then that since DEC19 Election there has been a 7% Swing towards Labour in the Redwall seats.

And it has come at the cost of the death of our fishing industry

I do indeed blame the Government for their lack of action.

When I look at who owns the UK fishing quota, and how they use it, it suggests to me that investment in the UK Industry was simply too expensive (assuming your'e right about falling capacity). The owners simply took the opportuntity afforded to them by Thatcher and subsequent governments to make money from the quotas, with no thought to UK fisherman at all.

One suspects that this will continue, and that investment in the UK fishing fleet will still be too costly to be economically viable, given the amounts of fish the UK actually consumes.

And I will do you the honour of assuming that you agree the sell off of quotas was a mistake, and Farage should have got off his fat arse and done something.

You don't understand that we should have stopped our quotas being sold to overseas companies?

You don't understand that Farage pretended to be interested in fishing but actually never did anything for it?

Fair enough, sounds good, and further evidence that Samuel's contact is not that well informed.
