A local representative, Alan Grayson (D), SOLD his vote. As Pelosi and Obama scrounged around for votes, Grayson was willing to deal. He was given assurances that Dem. leaders would "support his efforts to build a new $50 million hurricane-research center in Central Florida." But construction of the hurricane facility is hardly guaranteed. So here's a guy who was willing to sell us out for an IOU!

For me there is an inescapable awareness that something is wrong with this slice of history we are living in. Our nation's very foundation has been undermined. The current economic mess is one which politicians caused and which they insist they can fix by imposing on us more suffering and unreason. I believe in the Constitution, the beauty of our country's rich tradition, in the necessity of truth, and in the need for some common sense in this mess of irrational ideologies. Wake up, America! Civilization calls every man, woman and child!

In order to make the most of the upcoming tea parties, there is lots of work to do. I'm sure others have listed many things herein, so I won't duplicate a list. But beyond creating t-shirts and signs, allow me to remind you all, dear friends, that there WILL BE an opposition attending. We had one guy and a gal at the Orlando tea party in March that got a lot of attention. They were loud and obnoxious and they riled people up. In other words, they got attention. Please believe me when I say that the MSM will choose them to be "the news" if we allow that to happen. Be strong, be focused, and pay no attention to those that would seek to distract. Ignore them! Also, take paper and pen to get names and phone numbers/email addresses of other like-minded people. Take your business cards if you want to, but make sure you network. Lastly, know that this is a principled and virtuous thing we do on Wednesday. We are standing up for what is right! God bless you.

One little noted moment in the president's speech concerning North Korea's recent test launch is this: "All nations must come together to build a stronger, global regime."
Now I don't know if his teleprompter is down, or perhaps he got comfortable and spoke his own mind, which is what he does when he gets comfortable. (see Leno/special olympics comment, for one example) But I believe that this is a glimpse into his true persona, his true agenda, which is proactively working to end our nation and everything it has stood for for 230 years. I was stunned when I heard this but apparently it is not being widely discussed. Most media outlets tend to overlook anything that might cast Obama in a bad light. They treat him not only as just another dynamic Democratic leader, but as a rock-star.
