Anything by The Descendant is gold. I highly recommend anything that he has written on fimfic. He's the only author I am actually following on there so far, in fact. This is his only OC story I believe, and I was hesitant when I saw it, but the feels hit me just as hard.

So you got your Pinkie too? I heard they shipped around the end of September, but mine is still processing. Sent them an e-mail, hope it gets worked out. Also, what's with the two different sizes? Are those larger ones just prototypes or something? Or are they sold elsewhere? The online store only has the 10.5" models. Bigger pony=More surface area to hug, after all.

This coming from the guy who has a picture of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon rubbing their butts on Babs Seed's face as their twitter background, and (according to less than a minute looking through said twitter) likes Fluffle Puff, a fanwork that originated from 4chan where people would spend countless hours talking about fluffle ponies and all of the horrible nasty things they would do to one. All in good fun, of course. "pervert the show" indeed. You got a lot of replies, me included, so 10/10 trolling. Or 10/10 hipocrisy, I'll let you pick, since you already seem to be adept at cherry-picking what is and is not an 'acceptable' way for someone to show their love for the show. People like FiW, it makes them happy. You don't, and that's fine. But when you go out of your way to be upset about it, guess what? Now you're upset, and they are still happy. Who's getting the short end of the stick there? If you see something you don't like, close it, hide it, go do something else, the time and effort you spend criticizing it could have been spent enjoying what you love.

I was... satisfied with this. I was hoping it would be a bit better. First problem I saw was the narration at the beginning. When watching a show/character, the majority of the time is spent looking at the face of whoever is speaking. This is simple human instinct. Hence, lip-syncing is paramount. Adding just a few more facial frames would have helped greatly here. Then the one scene during the flight, you know the one, where the camera is at this odd angle underneath Luna, her mouth looks very strange. This is simply a limitation with flash, though. It's important to co-ordinate with storyboard artists to make sure that the scenes and poses they draw the characters in are easily rigged in flash, otherwise you have to create many new assets for that scene, and since they aren't really seen anywhere else, they look very "out of place", like they are in a different style, almost. As far as this being the "best fanimation so far", well, that's actually kinda rude to say, and extremely unfair to all of the hard work by every animator out there. Some would say that Picture Perfect Pony is the best, but then again, I believe Jan has been in the animating business long before Pony even existed, so he has the knowledge of Flash to pull the show style off very well. That's all I'm gonna say, I did enjoy the video, and the song still gives me chills, the animation only intensifies that feeling, so, mission accomplished, guys, bravo.

Isn't that future Twi a piece of fan art? Pretty sure that's a piece of fan art. Though I guess there's nothing one can really do about their art being used without permission, since it's of a copyrighted character anyhow. Still gives me bad feels when I see stuff like that happen though.

That's not a good reason. Her mouth is purple in flash because flash models have an outline. If the SFM model's didn't have a colored mouth, the 3D lighting would still create a shadow where their mouth is, making it visible. Look at their nostrils for example. They are colored in flash, why not in SFM? Because the indentation causes a shadow there with the 3D lighting making them perfectly visible. The mouth color is unnecessary, and is a result of two separate styles clashing. If the SFM models were cell-shaded or something to have outlines, then the mouth would look perfectly fine being colored, like this guy did here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtJsBL5HOFY. You can still see the colored lips, but the cell shading line is already enough, and matches the style with the bodies' outlines. The one peeve I have with the SFM models is that for some reason, their lips are colored. I can't think of a technical reason why it would be necessary, and makes it seem like all the ponies are wearing lipstick. Just weirds me out.

Well, for literally the last two months, somthing has come up every saturday, or I've been busy with work, so the last show is the only one I've managed to catch the livestream for, normally I have to just listen to the itunes version. I'll be busy next saturday as well *grumble*. But yeah, other than that I've been *trying* to catch the livestream. I don't usually talk, just lurk and listen.

If I was the type of person who cared about "Internet cred" and being able to say "I told you so", you'd be right. But I'm not. If it happens I wouldn't go around saying "I knew it" because that accomplishes nothing and is Internet immaturity at its finest. I am legitimately concerned about what I heard, and am glad to tell anyone that's interested privately, but I'm not going to just info dump it in a public place like this, because again, I'm afraid of the drama it could cause. You could say "why say anything at all then", and you'd be right, I was still in shock from the news at the time and wasn't sure what to do. I apologize if I came off as an attention horse.
