West Ham Till I Die : Jonathan Spector: An Apology

Spector was obviously superb last night and an excellent replacement in that game for Parker. Like a lot of you I re-watched the game on Sky when I got home and the extra thing I noticed was that when we lost the ball he busted a gut every time to get back into position which is something you dont see from even Parker. LBM had a better game than normal but I think some of you were going OTT with the compliments. I cant count the times that he was standing in the centre circle while one of the twins was strolling into our half. If it were not for the numerous timely interventions from TBH we could have been in trouble. There was also the confrontations and rash tackles around the box. He is alway free kick waiting to happen. On a vaguely related topic, my spud mate drinks in Jimmy Bullards pub and JBs dad says Scott Parker is a done deal to move to the Spurs in Jan. I know my mate is a Spud (and a south Londoner at that) so therefore inherantly untrustworthy but if this is the case then why would the Davids let this happen. And is Specs switch to midfield an experiment to see if Parker can be replaced from within.

West Ham Till I Die : Morning Transfer Gossip: Thursday

Carlton a big strong lad he holds the ball up as well as anyone. He works hard and when he doesn’t think to much can bang them in. He suffered from the knee injury last year and struggled to regain his fitness probably because we brought him back too quickly. Is he really injury prone though, am I wrong or did he play most of the season before. Last year he seemed to limp away from every challenge and jump but this year he seems to have started pre-season in great form. I can't say I'd want the injured Cole from last season again but I wouldn't want to swap the player I think he can be for an untried kid that cost us a packet. As far as the Remy kid not wanting to play for us lets be realistic. We narrowly escaped relegation last year, played some dire football and even our own owners (rightly) slated us in the press. I think we should just be happy if we could attract good players, even if their motives are to move on when they make a name for themselves. Lets face it even if their motives are purely selfish, to achieve them they have to play well for us.

West Ham Till I Die : One Swallow and the Making of Summer?

Getting better on the balance front me thinks. They seem to like Ben Haim for CH, Tompkins having a good pre season. Doesnt Barrera play left (he seems to be on the left in the youtube footage). Algerian keeper M'Bohli is on trial with us and seems to be doing well.

West Ham Till I Die : Morning Transfer Gossip

Have we sold Upson? No-one seems to be including him in their team. On this note who does everyone think we will be offloading before the season starts? And something else thats bothering me how do you pronounce Loic Remy (and I know how to say Remy).

West Ham Till I Die : Loyalty and Ambition!

Liverpool want Cole and now Upson & Illunga. Man City wanted Parker, the big italian clubs want Behrami and everyone wants Rob Green. With a bunch of young England players making up almost all the remainder of the first team I'd like to know just thing, why we are so crap?
