Legitimate, but weak. Bill Gates didn't get rich by hoarding pay checks. He did it by investing (growing business, creating jobs). Although the money from tax cuts could have been used for other purposes, I don't think the rich were hiding the tax cuts under their mattresses to screw the middle class. I like the idea of controlling pollution but Cap and Trade appears like a system too susceptible to being manipulated and abused by corporations. Plus I think it allows for commodity trading. Makes about as much sense as investing in a dot.com company.
