I read your book, and followed your career, and cheered you all the way through. I hoped to work on something with you one day, or at least meet you. Today is truly a sad day. This film was a pile of s**t. First of all it uses the same terrible structure like Iron Lady of crazy old person telling their story. And the make up in Iron Lady was much better. Hoover, may have been gay, fine, hint at it, because nobody is sure, then move on. This entire movie was about him being gay, along with made up scenes between Tolson and Hoover. And because one felon wrote falsely in a book once as revenge that Hoover wore dresses, so Eastwood has to put that in the movie? The real shame of this movie is here you have one of the most powerful and great men (with many flaws) of the last century and this great history is discarded. If you watched this movie as a teenager and had no idea about the history of the FBI, you'd be completely misled. Great opportunity squandered. This could have been a great action movie, along with political bio, and still show the flaws of the man. I have read many biographies that did just that of Hoover.

Manchurian Candidate: The Train scene with Sinatra and Leigh is fantastic. In this movie, liberals mock Joseph McCarthy, but in the movie, there were Communists infiltrating our government! So anti Communists are redeemed and proven correct, at least in this movie.

I love how liberals criticize people for thinking Born in the USA is a pro America song. Yes, how can anyone make this mistake. The cover of the album has a huge flag. The only lyrics that you can hear clearly are "Born in the USA", the rest of the song is garbled and mumbled. During concerts its sung as an anthem, with fists punching the sky. Yes how ridiculous to think this is a patriotic song.
