Officer had a clear fear for his safety. You don't touch a police officer, especially when he or she is telling you to put your hands behind your back, because you are UNDER ARREST! People, at that point you don't get a choice to go to jail or not. It's a done deal. Don't like it, take it up in court at that point. Attacking us only makes us...oh...I don't know...maybe want to defend ourselves so we can go home to our families at the end of the day?

With all the hate the Seattle PD is getting lately, perhaps they should take some sick leave. Together, and for at least a week.

Have to agree with you there. This sounds like BS police work, hands down.

How are the people posting here racist? And when someone is brutally attacked in public simply for walking home, well a truly civilized society calls for those individuals to be removed from said society immediately! I think, and please stop me if I am wrong but Liberals (just assuming because of your name) have some candy land fairytale version of how the law should work. EVERYONE gets chances and chances and if you just LOVE enough, well...they will turn around.

That is...until your the victim of a crime. Believe me, you would be calling for a chunk of backside if this was your kid.

How much of the criminal justice system do you actually understand? If there are suspects around the scene who fit the description on the attackers, and only minutes away? That is enough to detain. Add in they were positively identified in a six photo lineup? And forgot to mention that the two men who fit the description had blood on them.

Yeah, that is well over enough for arrest. A case is not completed at the point of arrest. Things like investigation and discovery are presented up until the point of trial. But here is enough circumstantial evidence to make a reasonably minded person believe these two committed a crime.

I agree. As a person who has taken an oath to served and protect I find this deputies actions disgusting. I am angry beyond words that he committed these acts and damn well knew better.

We do have people who wear the badge but are no better then the scum we fight everyday. But the few do not represent the whole.

I am not sure your right in the head. I guess in a perfect world your logic would suggest that the only bad people in this world are the ones created by the actions of another. So the drug cartels are not responsible for the violence, its the fault of the drug addict who gets hooked on a product they can not quit. Hmmm, interesting logic.

And I like how you relate buying guns to candy. Oh, and connect "Crazy people". This deputy was not crazy. Not even close. He murdered two people out of choice, pure and simple. If he snapped, or decided do to this (planned)there was a free will at work. Stop giving him an out by saying he was crazy. I am a LEO and I 100% do NOT stand by officers or deputies that do this. They are a disgrace to the badge and to the oath we take. We are there for each other, if he had problems or issues then his other family could have helped him.

Sorry for the rant, I am just disgusted with this. He was not a crazy gun toting madman. He was a human being that simply made a very bad choice and could not live with the consequences of it. The fact he was a cop just gives aholes out there a flag to wave saying "See!!! COPS ARE BAD!!!! They need to be regulated!!!" Tell you what, put your money where your mouth is. Apply and be one, and make the change you so desperately think we need.
