Breitbart.com : Poland freezes anti-piracy pact ratification

I'm starting to wonder about all of the protesters who don't want this treaty (or whatever it is) signed. It's true that I don't want my freedoms curtailed, but I know of some Internet users who think nothing of pirating music and movies. I suspect that their REAL objection to the new treaty is that they might not be able to copy any new media without having to pay for it. Now, I'm not a real fan of Hollywood, or some of these "musical" artists, but I feel that they have a right to be fairly compensated for their work. Bottom line, I hope that the nations around the world can come to some agreement as to how to prevent piracy without restricting the freedom to navigate among non-pirating sites on the web.

Breitbart.com : Russian opposition leader arrested after rally

Russians have a long history of authoritarian governments, and it is difficult for people to change their mindset. This is especially true because of the history of Lenin, Stalin, and the leaders who followed them. The KGB and other internal security organizations made sure that dissenters and potential democratic leaders "disappeared" when they became a threat. Putin is trying to recreate the old Soviet Union, and is using his control of the government to stifle dissent. The people who openly challenge him are taking a big risk, and the arrests of the two leaders is Putin's way of warning the rest. It is going to be difficult for the pro-democracy protesters to collect enough Russians into their groups to really effect a change in the way things work in that country. Between the oligarchs and the communists, there are enough corrupt people in key government positions to ensure Putin's re-election as president, unless somehow a massive groundswell of dissent causes the people to unite around a pro-democracy leader.

Big Journalism : Bloomberg Ignores Multiple Scandals of the Obama Administration

Considering that Mr. Alter not only ignored Fast and Furious, but he missed the Solyndra debacle (including loans to other "green" companies connected to Obama contributers), and now, the latest, which is the developing story of another Obama contributer getting help on a controversial drug... considering all of that, one has to wonder if Mr. Alter is on Jay Carney's payroll. (Mr. Carney is Obama's Press Secretary.) It is very discouraging to find that you cannot depend on most of the news organizations to report the news objectively. Thank God for Fox News and Breitbart, to provide some balance to news reporting. I also think that even more attention should be paid to exposing the bias in individuals in the media, who blatantly lie or "misreport" the news. We hear left-wing radicals shouting things like, "Fox lies!", but they are always unable to provide specific examples of what they claim. On the other hand, Breitbart and Brent Bozell have provided numerous examples of either open distortions of the truth by the media, or non-reporting of significant events (such as the violence at the various OWS city locations).

Axelrod would tell everyone that night is day and red is green, if it would help Obama's re-election. The man is a weasel who doesn't care a bit about what Obama is doing to the United States. He, like the rest of the uber-liberals only are interested in maintaining their own power, and keeping the lower classes beholden to the Democrats.

Breitbart.com : NH farmer wins early release after gun sentence

I suspect that there are pertinent facts that are not in this article. Is it simply a "he said - she said" situation, or are there witnesses. If the former, then, sadly, the benefit of the doubt seems to go predominantly to the female. If there is evidence that she has a penchant for lying or false accusations, then why wasn't that presented in court? Why did the man have to wear a gun at home in the first place? I own TWO handguns, but I don't feel so threatened that I have to walk around, wearing a gun, when I am at home. As I said before, there are facts which are not presented in the article, and which would help people understand the fairness or unfairness of the man's conviction.

Breitbart.com : Urinating policewoman art raises hackles in Germany

We live in a society where people are afraid to uphold traditional standards due to political correctness. Crap like a peeing police officer isn't art, any more than images of Christ or Mary in feces or urine are. These so-called artists are simply in-your-face shock merchants. Any museum director or art critic who doesn't know the difference between true art and that slop should lose their job yesterday. I'd love to see someone try to pass a picture of Mohammed covered in excrement off as art. I'll bet you would see a different response by the so-called experts. (For the jihadists who are sharpening their knives right now, I will say that I don't consider ANY IMAGE covered in excrement as art.)

Breitbart.tv : MSNBC Host Laughs At and Mocks Gay Conservative

Once again, MSNBC has demonstrated that liberals are the most intolerant people in this country. Despite their claims of tolerance, the left is tolerant of only people who parrot the same party line as they do. Any variation from left-wing orthodoxy is immediately and violently denounced as being either "racist", or "homophobic", or the stuff of evil robber-barrons in large corporations, whose only goal is to screw over the common man, while enriching themselves. The people at MSNBC are so wrapped up in their own rhetoric, that they can't even see the reality of what is going on in this country. Fortunately, a majority of the people in this country are starting to see these people as the ultra-left loons that they are, and are rejecting their message, as they demonstrated last November.

The one thing that people have to keep in mind is that even Obama, Al Gore, and George Soros cannot control the sun. If the climate changes due to changes in solar activity, then we cannot affect those changes by changing the way we use energy. Those who beat the drums about the effect of man-made global warming, conveniently ignore the variablility of the sun, and its effects on Earth's climate. Instead of destroying economies in a futile attempt to change climates by regulating emmissions, we should be studying ways of coping with varying weather and climatic conditions.

Breitbart.com : 40 people lynched amid Haiti cholera fears: officials

What is so discouraging is how liberals take advantage of this country's compassion for the people of Haiti, to get the country to donate large sums of money for their relief. The only problem is that the money never gets to those who need it. It is siphoned off by the bureaucrats in both countries, along with the fraudulent businesses who sell relief goods and materials which don't exist. Other funds are deposited directly into the accounts of the corrupt government politicians in Haiti itself. There is almost no oversight or accountability for the funds, and so the cycle of poverty and corruption continues. The only solution is to severely punish crooks and corrupt officials when they are caught, and keep tight controls on the funds, to ensure that at least some of the poor will receive their benefit.

It is rather ironic that many of the technologies that are being used were originally invented for a good purpose, that is, to help us to fight Islamic terrorism. Now it seems that their uses are being perverted by individuals who want to circumvent the Constitution, and do warrantless surveilance of all citizens. I guess that we are closer to the Big Brother state in "1984" than we ever imagined that we would be. In that respect, at least, the terrorists have achieved their goal of changing the way we live.

Breitbart.com : New Zealand wooed China to curb US influence: report

It is a fact that the average citizen in Europe and New Zealand doesn't study history as well as he should, or else he ignores lessons of the past. They vote for socialist leaders who will give them fat pensions and other perks, rather than spending money on maintaining a strong defense. If there was a military crisis, they'd come crying to the U.N. and the U.S. for help. Our answer should be, "You made you bed, now you sleep in it!" Nations around the world have been relying on the United States to be the world policeman for too long, without shouldering their fair share of the economic and military burden. We should demand more of our allies, and if they're not willing to chip in with their fair share, we should tell them to go ahead and see how the totalitarian countries treat them.

Breitbart.tv : Flashback: Obama Promised 5-Day, Public Review of Bills Before Signing; Signs Tax Bill Within Hours

After two years of Obama as president, those who STILL expect him to do what he says he's going to do, have got to be extremely DENSE. The man makes statements and promises very freely, and just as easily does the exact opposite of what he said. I am reminded that he has a law degree. He is the stereotypical example of the lawyer who will say ANYTHING to get what he wants. He feels no requirement to stick to the truth. He has broken almost every campaign promise, and has broken those promises he made after taking office as president. When dealing with Barak Obama, the safest position is to assume that he's lying, and act accordingly. (Fascinating how the Republicans did just that on the tax cut extension compromise. If he could, Obama would have let the senators and congressmen change the terms, but the Republicans stuck to their guns and forced the Dems to do what they had agreed to do.)

Breitbart.com : Bucking trend, Bolivia lowers retirement age to 58

It is an unfortunate fact that, for some people, experience is the only teacher that they will listen to (and that because they have no choice.) People can tell the Bolivians that the economics is all wrong. They can bring in experts to show the figures to the leaders. But people like Morales, and other socialist leaders will see only what they want to see, and hear only what they want to hear. When the economy comes crashing down, and there are riots in the streets (see Greece, France, England), then the leaders will HAVE to face facts. Of course, they will try to blame evil capitalists, and the imperialist United States, but that won't change the reality of the collapsed economy.

Breitbart.tv : Dem Rep Calls For Christmas Crisis to Force GOP on Tax Debate

If the Democrats want to create a crisis, I say BRING IT ON! If tax rates go up on January 1st, then it will be the fault of the DEMOCRATS, and NOT the Republicans. The Republicans have already agreed with the president on a compromise that would keep the tax rates what they are today, AND would extend unemployment benefits for another 13 months. It is the DEMOCRATS that are the real party of "NO!" in this situation, and any intelligent member of the voting public will recognize this. Furthermore, if the Democrats follow this strategy, they will see another bloodbath in November of 2012, and will damage the party for decades to come.

It should be clear today, even to the most dense independent, that the Democrats don't give a damn about the American people. They want what they want, and screw the rest of the country. The fact that a majority of the voters disagreed with them in the last election means nothing to them. They are more like religious fanatics than elected representatives, and they apparently would be willing to cause a second recession, rather than agree to a compromise that, as Charles Krauthammer puts it, "Gives the president an almost trillion dollars worth of stimulus without him having to call it as such." The Democrats are simply fixated on taking money and property from those who have earned it, and redistributing it to those who have not. If their actions cause the jobless numbers to rise, they will simply blame it on Bush.

Breitbart.tv : Free Internet a Civil Right for 'Every Nappy-Headed Child'

Who decides what is a right, and what is a privilege? Next, I expect to hear that every nappy headed child has a "right" to an X-box or Wii, and a big screen TV. These liberals should know that every child, even the nappy-headed ones, has access to the Internet at almost every school, and at almost every public library. Those things are already paid for by our taxes. The class of "nappy-headed children" needs to learn how to get a good education, in order to get a good job, in order to earn a decent income, in order to buy - with their own money - some of the non-necessities of life. All of the liberals have to learn to stop classifying every little thing that they want as either an entitlement or a "right".

All the pro-socialism people in this country are closing their eyes and shutting their ears today. They simply refuse to see the inevitable result of socialism. Like other socialist countries before it, Venezuela is canibalizing itself. Chavez is expropriating one source of capital after another in an effort to support his crumbling economy. Eventually, there will be nothing left to take from the people who create wealth in his country. It happened in Cuba. It happened in Eastern Europe. It WAS happening in China, until the rulers switched to a capitalistic-style economy.

You don't understand, Andrew. Things like this are illegal and immoral only if a Republican/Conservative does them. It's perfectly ok for a Democrat to not pay their taxes, channel grant money to their relatives and friends, and solicit bribes from lobbiests. After all, they're the "good guys", and can do no wrong. A "swamp" is not a strong enough word to describe the current Democrat Congress. I think that CESSPOOL, or SEWER. would be a more appropriate term. We need to FLUSH the current crowd of crooks out of Congress this November, and replace them with people who will truly represent us, and not simply members of the old boy network of establishment politicians.

Weiner reminds me of a teenage girl, throwing a hissy-fit because she didn't get what she wanted. This drama queen needs to learn to work with other people, instead of throwing temper tantrums because he hasn't gotten every single thing that he wanted in the bill.
