I love this!!! I worked in VBS this year for the very first time. And I will forever be changed! Jordan got saved this year during VBS - you preach it sista! Thanks for this wonderful message!!! OH! We too had GREAT missionaries on furlough that spent the entire week with us - they impacted us all in a big way!!

My Mom reads a book this week every year... I think it's called The Road to the Cross. She was just telling me about it. I'll get more details and send it to you. I love her tradition of keeping the entire week focused on what His week was like!

Hallee - first I want to say thank you for your vulnerability with your past relationship here on Seeds! I know many will benefit from seeing your "rawness" and openness. You've given us much wisdom in this post!

I must admit this was hard for me to read... not because of anything you said, just the topic alone. The other day, JP, our 4 year old son, asked me if I could teach him how to be a Daddy! OH my! Of course I said, You betcha! And now I pray ardently every day that God would send godly men into my life - (my own Dad, uncles, men at church, teachers) that would mentor him and invest into his sweet little life!

I think the main thing... our children - sons & daughters are not just going to figure it out on their own - it's our job to teach them what the Bible says. And hopefully, prayerfully with sound teaching & God we can combat what they see all around them.
