Ugh, I'm in the same situation. I assume this timing is fine for tenured profs, but if you're just a sessional instructor or something the last part of the month can be so stressful.

My god, I don't comment here allll that much, but I've been reflecting and have realised that the Toast has guided and informed most of my interaction with the world for the past year or two. I'm so much more in touch with my feminism now. I've learned so much about privilege and how to listen better. I love and trust this community in a way that I wouldn't have thought possible for a bunch of irl strangers. I can't thank you guys enough.

The movies are just so enjoyable! I loved The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. Slow, confusing, but as soon as it ended I was like, I need more John le Carre in my life. The book is really good, too, but probably wouldn't have sucked me in if I hadn't seen the movie first.
