Teachers no longer have power to control the classroom let alone hallways. The huge lack of rule enforcement and parental involvment has led to the lawless taking charge. Just look at the news and you see this everywhere.
Can anybody say Dan Quale? It was just a simple mistake and good for a laugh. NOTHING more.. South Bend schools may have problems but this has nothing to do with them.
Rev, Washington. Why not spend your energy telling people to get back into reading books and edjucating themselves rather than symboliclally checking books out. It does no good for anyone to check a book out and let it sit. Quit talking to the library board and talk to the community and get them to use the branch and use it properly. I have been to all the South Bend branches on different occasions and some of them are just loud and disruptive. on one occasion, I saw police escort 2 kids out because they would not obey the securtiy guard. This was not Lasalle, but it just shows how people's library behavior is going down hill. You go Lasalle stay open
What you say is true, not public school, not mandated, easy way to learn. I would hate for this to become a "fashion" of schools because it really undermines what we are as a country. Yes we are a diverse country. But what we have done is take from many cultures and combined them into one. No one culture can lay claim to what our country is. But what I see happening is that people want to ring their culture here and take over as a "main culture" or turn the US into what thier country is. NO WAY. Take your anti american agenda and go back where you came from.
Nothing wrong with learning Spanish, but if the motivation is to create a second language or a different primary language for the US, then it is wrong. Diversity like that will split or nation and ruin us. Ever hear of the saying "divide and conquer" We need to watch out.
Easy answer, cause they are STUPID. No penalty can be too stiff. I personally would charge them with attempted murder as they put lives in danger.
Teachers need to be evaluated. Most are good, but there are the few that are ineffective at what they do. No different from any other career. In any job there are the awsome, the good and the pathetic people. Time to sort the teachers and get rid of some
I could not agree more. Another thing that needs to change is the use of mainstream, non educational movies to occupy the time spent in class. I can't beleive how many times my kids have come home and told me what movie they watched at school and they have nothing to do with what they are studying.
