Thought Is Possibility! : Social Network With Freddie Taylor

"In todays society, communication and constant contact is mandatory". I'll be honest with you, Freddie-- I am having an internal discussion about whether or not I agree with this statement. I think social networking has some advantages. I like it when and if I choose to use it. However, I'm increasingly dismayed by the societal expectation that each of us must be reachable, even trackable at all times. When I'm out of touch for a bit on social networking sites, or even worse- when I turn my phone off for a day or two (GASP), the reaction I get is unsettling. I increasingly feel like I need a "valid excuse" for not being reachable, and an anxiety about not being reachable when it was critically important. I feel that in conjuction with texting, the phone, and now 3G phones-- the level of "white-noise" in our lives is simply unsustainable.

Thought Is Possibility! : Balance TV: Dust off your Dream Board

Only a small percentage of people have goals, an even smaller percentage of those who have goals have them written down. Not surprisingly, those with written goals comprise 96% of the top 1% of wealthy individuals. A Dream Board is goal setting on steroids- it's highly effective. I update mine annually, and I have a "margin" to the right where I number the pictures and put DATES on them by which I expect to achieve them. A true goal has a date certain for its accomplishment. BTW- I believe The Power of Focus is Mike Litman, though it could just be a title similar to his? All the best, Paul Strauss http://www.barenakedinvestor.com

Big Government : ACORN Prostitution Scandal: California Here We Come!

This is not about poor hiring practices. A pattern has been established that clearly supports the hypothesis. It's not that ACORN has a practice of hiring flakes, it's that ACORN CREATES these people. They train their employees to do this kind of thing. Beck keeps referring to the Rathke brothers as "James Bond movie villians" and he's right. Chaos is their aim, because ACORN is a radical anarchist organization that is all about taking down the current system. Promoting crime is useful to this end.

I'd like to ask the proverbial $64,000 question: How far up the food chain does this go? Unless we can take down the entire liberal aparatus, they'll rename it and keep operating.
