I would like to suggest that folks take the time to visit http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/ and bookmark the leader of choice. This is a very useful tool to keep an eye out on your elected officials. Read some of the bills they are signing on to and voting for and or against.
If anything has come of this mess it is the fact that Americans are finally figuring out just how bad our leadership really is. Now we need people to actually care enough to read and do something about this.
The days of just voting for a person due to Party Line are OVER. Voting Party Line is what brought a vast majority of this on. "We The People" are extremely guilty of political retardation... Sadly I must include myself to this as well from time to time.

I am wondering when everyone is going to realize that anyone who served during the past 10 years especially the 110th congress is guilty of crimes against the American Taxpayers. If you think for one minute this mess was caused by AIG, GM, FORD, or any other business that is an issue. Our leadership has for a long time been so corrupt and inept at their jobs that they are to blame 2nd and "We The People" who blindly elected them term in and term out are to blame first.
We have allowed petty little issues to rule our Federal Government far too long.
This only changes when we change the way we elect our leadership. We need to focus on what the Federal Government is supposed to actually do and be to us AND then only elect people who will actually do JUST those jobs. The problem is we have created such a huge monster ridding us of it may be near impossible in enough time to actually save our country.
Just a thought.....

THEY ARE FIRED - I am uploading a Fax right this minute and blasting it to every single last one of them - Rob - This is what I am talking about - FOLKS we need to be so organized it is sick - I will ask one more time.... if you go to http://www.votepaulejones.com/site/thelist.html and get on this list what we will do is when we are ready to start faxing we can then e-mail instructions to everyone. We determine a time and day to do things and do them in mass. I PROMISE YOU - I WILL NOT e-mail you a bunch of Crud- Only when we have a mission or a task we need do in mass. Folks - I have placed a list on my site of contact information for those serving on the House Committee on Budget. You can use this list to import in to Phone Blasts and Fax Blasts. I have placed links to services you can use for this. I am not sure how many of you realize their is software and services which will allow you to send messages by phone and fax in mass . In theory you can send your fax to 1,000' and phone message to 1,000's in seconds.
I will post more lists as I have time to get them up.

Young Elliot is a product the WE created. Every time you allow someone to get involved in the raising of your children whom you would not even allow to sit at your dinner table it is "completely insane".
I say Let Young Elliot speak. Find out who he is, where he lives and follow him for the next 30 years and watch as young Elliot becomes Old Elliot and we can all see just how Old Elliot feels about what he has allowed to happen to him.

MargieM - "completely insane" is really what we all are is it not. It is "completely insane" to have allowed this to happen to our country. It is "completely insane" that we ALL sat by and allowed our leaders to line their pockets for years and years. It is "completely insane" that the majority in this country allowed a minority to rule for so very long our policies and laws. It is "completely insane" that we have sat idle and without much resistance allowed the same people to be elected year after year by a minority of voters. It is "completely insane" that only 54% of those who can vote did in the last election. AND it is "completely insane" that it has taken WE THE PEOPLE this long to get up off our rear ends to do something about it.

I am wondering if after we resolve an issue if we should not go back and delete our original posts. There seems to be a rash of people coming in and joining the site which is great, but they are reading comments that where made days ago and then attacking the original posts.... I have pretty thick skin myself but I am getting ready to start ripping on people who cannot seem to read comments from most current up. It is like walking in to a room in the middle of a conversation...it just does not make for good participation.....Anyone else have a thought on this...Should we delete original posts about "Site Related" Issues once their has been resolution...? The problem is by doing so the same issues will come up again...
