For me the man who has caused the most harm to this club is Peter Ridsdale by a country mile. Not for the overspending , the fish or the singing with the fans. Nor the hope he gave us, those are not his crimes.

It is Ridsdale that started the process that led us to Ken Bates, the cancer that is Bates. Ridsdale should have been more careful with our great club . I strongly believe that Bates will destroy this club , I despise his dishonesty , his arrogance, his secrecy and the contempt he shows to the supporters. and just about everybody else he cares to comment on.

If I was an outside observer I would think that Bates has come to this club with the express intention to kill it off whilst taking as much money off the thick numpty gullible Leeds fans as possible.

So Ridsdale gets the lions share of the blams for me , bringing this club to this low point in its history... 99% at fault....aided a little by the weak Leeds fans who put up with Bates.

It is possible we the club is in financial strife again. What you should remember is that even though the last set of books showed a profit , in reality it was only transfer fees that allowed that .

The profit of £15,000 only came about because of sales of around £1.75m. We also have to remember that this club and its name in financial circles is mud. The club will not be trusted by banks for many years , if ever certainly whlie Bates is in charge. . Its like you running up a credit card debt and then defaulting and refusing to pay.....who is gonna give you another credit card?

I would also expect that HMRC will have withdrawn any 'Pay later' facility from Bates. He cannot be trusted , they will want their money off him UPFRONT and quite right too, in their view he took all the tax payers money last time and spent it!

Combine all that with the lavish spending on empty executive boses. and of course the fact that fans are deserting the con of the 'membership' scheme and reduced season tickets and hey presto... his great business plan starts to crumble perhaps.....

TSS Thanks mate. Especially for point #01 and the 'He saved us line' I thought I was going mad!

I thought I was living in a different reality , I remembered all of this, as you described it , in quite some detail but an awful lot of my fellow fans were trying to convince me of a totally different reality ,another world were Ken Bates was a decent man , was not an obnoxious oaf and actually saved the club.

it was like 'lost' I was having to seek medication to try to blur out my reality. I am so glad somebody else backs up what I knew to be true. Thanks for that . Trouble is you will never convince the numties , they have their memories , totally wrong of course. I was right all along , the emperor really didnt have any clothes on...yikes thats a horrible thought

TSS Every now and then you remind me of a time when supporting Leeds was fun and exciting and not the recurring nightmare we currently endure. Back then I knew nothing of administration , points deductions, relegations after relegation, free transfers, parliamentary investigations, hotels, dodgy obnoxious chairman or the likes of Bristol City tempting our players away for better wages!

David Wetherall was a giant in our history...he scored against Man U ...did you know that? ;) Top Player. Thanks for taking me back. I doubt I will ever think back one day about how great Andy O.Brien was. The contrast is huge.
