This actress has extremely poor judgement - but what else is new? I didn't really think she was a wise director of a hospital. I long ago learned to separate the "art" from the person creating the art. I love the show called House -- also, music by the composer Wagner, pictures by Picasso. ..I would go on but I'm sure you get my point. Besides, TV shows are collaborations - one stupid actress should not taint an entire show. I would like to add though that this particular ad is absurd and extremely out of touch - what about the very legal butchery found recently in that Philadelphia clinic? This is some disconnect.

This is a fatuous, empty argument because you have no idea how ATW is doing, tanking or otherwise. Just because you disagree with someone does not make them, or their beliefs, stupid. For almost 2 years now I have been writing about the Tea Party movement. You're reaction has been to call the movement stupid, racist, astro-turf etc. - anything but serious. If someone made the mistake of listening to you they would have no idea of the electoral revolution underfoot. You just are wrong about many things; calling your political opponents "stupid" does not make you right.

No Phantom, gvot. mandate to Freddie/Franny to lend money to those who were not qualified and who could not repay the loans got us into this mess. Liberal policies - mandating banks to lend and take risks that otherwise banks would not take - started the down-turn. Yes, govt. can help prevent monopolies, fraud and other malfeasance - but that's about the extent of any "public good" government will ever do. Government social planning always ends up wrong. And over-regulation smothers enterprise. Governemtn never knows when to stop. Every governemtn agency suffers from "mission creep." WIth bottomless taxpayer pockets, government agencies grow in only one direction - bigger. The free market - due to the nature of the "free market" - will always do better than central cntrol.
