I know what you're saying. I live in a small town in Ga. But doesn't it make sense that if a portion of a state such as Ca. feels differently than the majority that their votes should coubt for their candidate? As it is now, all of Ca's votes are sent to one candidate.
I lived (and voted) in Fla. during the 2000 presidential election. We were 50/50. But all of our electoral votes were given to Bush. (For which I was very happy) But I don't think it is particularly fair. Next time it could be my vote that does'nt seem to count.
Like I say, the EC is inperfect at best. I'm open for a discussion !
I'd like to get rid of the electoral college. It is imperfect at best and totally corrupt at worst. There was a time when it was impossible to count each individual vote. No more.
The Dems are not the only ones to stop! What we 912ers need to do is remind BOTH parties that these changes those in office now are touting will last long after this party is gone and the other is in. Do they realize that then some one they dont agree with will hold the power of "oversight"?

Elliot will probably come round one day. I voted for Carter (twice)! When you are young and everything is a given, it's hard to see the forest through the trees. Unfortunately, left unchecked, socialism is a wildfire that will destroy this great country. I enlisted at the age of 32 in the US Army. At sometime Elliot, we all must grow up and lead, not follow.
