Jimmy, you should see about hooking up with the iCaucus.org folks. They are organizing nationwide and will back a fiscally responsible candidate. This movement is growing by leaps and bounds and I have joined in to work on it in my own state. I hope you will contact them and see if it seems like a good fit. It's not a 3rd party or a fringe group. It's a group interested in taking our country back by promoting fiscally responsible candidates who are new to the political scene and therefore untouched by the corruption of special interest money.
The young folks have been indoctrinated and are either clueless or have been taught that capitalism is a dirty word, yet they do not understand the true meaning or ramifications of socialism. Nor do they understand the ramifications of remaining clueless. Sad.
Apparently they can't be armed due to restrictions in the various countries to which they travel. They couldn't complete their travel missions with weapons aboard, from what I understand.

Can you define an assault rifle for me, please? I own one, and no, it's not an AK. It fits the assault weapon ban by virtue of the fact that it has a bayonet mount on the end of the barrel. Does that scare you? That little metal clip? If it was removed would you feel all warm and fuzzy and safe all the sudden? Are you aware that the assault *weapon* ban is not just rifles? My personal handgun would fit under this bill because of the number of bullets it holds. I guess bullet #11 is more lethal than bullet #10.
We shouldn't absolutely ban all of anything that is an inalienable right. Just as we shouldn't ban your right to say what you think about guns.

Then studying the Fouding Fathers is what you're missing because they specifically stated their intentions with the 2nd, many times. Read their words and it is clear as day they meant individuals.
What you should do, Jeffty, is read the Constitution for yourself - the whole thing - and then study it and then study the Founding Fathers. Yes, the meaning is clear. No, you don't have it right.
