Big Hollywood : Your Horror Movie Tip Sheet - The Sleeper Edition

"Session 9" -- I've suggested this one on a previous post and at the risk of being redundant, I've posted once again. A very eerie, creepy, dread inducing movie that plays on anticipation rather than the typical slash and gore--kind of The Shining-ish. One of my favorites, if not my number 1.

Big Hollywood : 'Pontypool' Review: An Innovative Take on the Undead Film Genre

No. Just went to a Blockbuster one night and saw it in the new release section (you can tell when they are straight to DVD movies when there are only 1 or 2 of them) and read the description on the back. It sounded good so I rented it and loved it. To this day one of my favorite horror movies of all time.
"Session 9" still creeps me out even after seeing it several times. "What are you doing here.....". Gives me chills just thinking about it.

Me too. I am sick of being disappointed by horror movies that fail to scare me. I found this at a blockbuster in the new-release sections about 10 years ago and became an instant fan. I own it and watch it a few times a year.

Little known straight to DVD horror movie I found about a decade ago called "Session 9" deserves a look if you haven't seen it. If you liked The Shining, this is a very similar kind of movie/story with a strong, suspenseful creep factor throughout with a bone-chilling twist ending.
