Here's the problem with this - a lot of those big movies about whistleblowers (besides often being factually inaccurate and/or the underlying story turns out to be bunk (see Erin Brockovich)) are in industries that aren't even as remotely evil or devious as Hollywood. I mean, the Hollywood of even the golden era had no problem crushing (even killing, if some stories are to be believed) whistleblowers and tattle tales. This is an industry that has an iron grip on the non-disclosure agreement.

I've had friends working front office on some productions, filling out insurance forms for stars and such, and, when in their cups, they have related some very interesting stories. I mean, just stuff from filling out insurance forms! Of course, everything has to be hush hush, because the employment agreement they signed is about as airtight and evil as the Apple iTunes agreement from South Park.

Loan-out corporation. They exist SOLELY to evade taxes. In fact, all of these rich jerks in Hollywood that are always telling us to give more and that taxes should be higher and such? They ALL spend good money on accountants and lawyers to avoid paying taxes.

This isn't about theology, mistaken or otherwise. It is about attacking a group of people who call themselves Christian for the very sake that they call themselves Christian. It isn't about a regional culture, for LA would be FAR more ripe for parody (as well as New York). Instead, it is, specifically, about a caricature - a thematic straw man set up for the specific purpose of painting with a broad brush and ridiculing.

Honestly, how widespread is the Southern Baptist Texas suburban world culture that it is "ripe" for satire? Not really, if at all. A local, maybe regional show? Yeah, that would make sense. But this show is specifically trading on a leftist, pop-culture stereotype (caricature) for the sake of mocking that which that same leftist, pop-culture crowd abhors. Nothing more.

And this is coming from someone who does, in fact, find the "once saved, always saved" belief to be little more than heresy. Still doesn't justify something like this pathetic excuse for a show.

Shoot! I was thinking the other way around, thinking of Darrow! My bad, thanks for the clarification. Oh, and there wasn't a guilty plea - there was a jury verdict. Man, long day at work, got me all kinds of turned around!

Small historical not - Bryan lost the Scopes trial. And it was a set up from the beginning, anyway - a publicity stunt.

More on topic - this looks wonderful. As someone married to a newbie in the film world, I completely understand the difficulty in getting something done, let alone distributed, etc. This is really wonderful, and you are to be fully congratulated for all your work!!!

In other words, this is NOT a "two way street" situation. It is not either/or. It is not "if the Latins don't provide contraceptive services and products, then they are FORCING people to believe what they believe!" That is the false argument you are furthering here.
