How about a round of PMVs made without original music. These are the PMVs I miss the most -- matching good music to moments in the show, or trying to make the characters look like they are performing. I love motion graphics as much as the next guy, and they were REALLY cool when people started using them, but PMVs used be about the ponies, not the lyrics/cutie marks flying around. ;p I do really like how TheLightLeavesThee uses effects to accent their videos, instead of using motion and effects AS the video like many others do.

This is a great way to highlight older content! I would love to see some older fandom music here (and in general, I would like to see things trend back into instrumental composition, and sampled show clips)

I know those are some fairly large fandom names, but it might be worthwhile for current musicians to review these works and see the type of music that made big names in the past. I loved this style of pony music and would dearly love to see it come back.

I would really like to see twilight receiving and answering friendship letters from the antagonists she runs into throughout season 5. It would be a nice throwback to her time as a student, while showing her place as princess of friendship. It would also be a great way of reinforcing how negative people can change for the better.
