Equestria Daily : Discussion: Your Pony Story

Hey, all! Long time reader, first-time poster. October 2011 - A friend, really excited about Season 2 coming out, showed me the first two episodes. At first, I was...resistant to the idea, but I did really like the opening two episodes. My friend sagely told me to "give it a few weeks". A...few weeks after October 2011 - I started watching episodes on my own at work. By 2012 - I'm catching new episodes on YouTube every Saturday night. (First episode I tuned into night of, BTW - "The Last Roundup"). I start buying Blind-Bags. March 2012 - I start building Pony Pixel Art in Minecraft. I download both Eurobeat Brony albums. I start watching Friendship is Witchcraft. I start visiting EQD, casually at first. April 2012 - My brother, while on my Minecraft account, sees my Mane Six pixel art, and is...resistant to the Ponies at first, but then I make him watch the first two episode. As I predicted, he falls in love with the show immediately. July 2012 - I get my first Pony T-Shirt (Doctor Whooves, natch) for my birthday. During the long Pony drought, I begin reading Fallout: Equestria to pass the time. I start working on an OC pony, and try my hand at writing some fanfic (nothing I'm willing to show anyone, of course). Long story short, I owe that friend who got me into the show a lot. I haven't gone very far into the Fan-generated content (mostly music, PMVs, Ponified Trailers, and the lot), but from what I've seen, most of it's awesome. I haven't been a part of the community for as long as a lot of people, but in my time, I've come to love this community's creativity, positive attitude, and tolerance. You guys rock, woo-hoo.
