Estimating, predicting, modeling, find an expert and get a number. How accurate the number doesn't matter as the prediction is so far in the future that the only real value is its use is to create anxiety and lead to all kinds of moneymaking opportunities for the experts, the media, the politicians, etc.

Frankly the management of the Port over the last decade has been a bigger job killer than a new sports venue will ever be. The Port is looking for something and wants the taxpayers to fund it. Their weapon of choice as has become the custom of politicians, businessmen, bankers, etc. is fear. Tell them to take a hike.

They were contracted by whom? If by a state government agency we are then paying for this. If I am wrong I apologize but I don't think so.

Have you had enough? I have. Time to start revamping government from the top down at the state and local levels so crap like this isn't allowed to happen on the taxpayers dime. If we don't act who the hell will?

Can't say her age means anything at this late date other than she's probably got fewer yers to live than she has already.

If what they say is true I must assume most Amazon Distribution employees are actively attempting to unionize. If not I'm sure that they must be using OSHA to bring Amazon in line. If not perhaps there is more to the story. My guess is there is more to the story.

I vote that it will be hype rather than action. Corporate entities without exception will only do what they are convinced is in their best interest and at the least cost possible. So many businesses are now "green" --do you really think? If you don't , why would you buy this load of bull.

I agree with this Shrammie. It demonstrates so clearly the gaming played by bureaucrats that makes the claim of government waste ring so true. In business a turnaround specialist does what it takes to get the business headed back in the right direction. We need the equivalent in Government but that would require a massive changeover in the Legislature, adifficult order but one that needs to be started on now.

The real troublemakers in our society today--banks, business, politicians, religions --don't talk straight anymore. They have become the masters of spin and grin, a fine art intended to avoid facts and plant thoughts. The art of marketing, the gospel according to MadMen.

I'm good with medicinal use when it's effective, I don't support legalizing it otherwise. It will probably happen though but the results won't really amount to more than creating a new tax source for the state to exploit. Like alcohol there are abusers whose lives will suffer and who will in turn cause suffering for others. Legalizing won't change that but it may make it more obvious. Its unlikely adult parents will be any better at keeping their kids from sampling or abusing then they are now. As for getting rid of the riffraff suppliers and dealers they are just replaced with people we consider respectable--better dressed and tax paying riffraff.
